Dispelling a maze you are in sounds fun, it does return you to prime?

The maze is probably not accessible from inside it to dispel; it likely remains in the room where it was cast.

You can only dispel the maze from outside and doing so dumps people into the room the maze was set into with the affliction burst at the end. Also, yes, it's only dispelling manses that sends people inside it into Astral.

I don't think there should be so many afflictions given when you are unmazed...it's completly bs and nearly impossible to handle without trueheal or serpent

You CAN however dispel the maelstrom INSIDE the maze. Which I love.

You can dispel the maze from outside, which drops the people in the room they were mazed from. If you use dispel inside, you dispel the maelstrom. If you dispel a manse, you send them to astral.
