Well whether you're all alone or sharing the day with a special someone, I hope everyone has a splendid day! Hope this would encourage others to share stories of how they're planning to spend/spent their valentines!

Funny, I just got the "We should be friends and nothing else, sorry to waste your time" talk with someone it was going splendidly with. Perhaps everyone else will have a super Singles Awareness Day.

And that sucks, Richter. Valentine's Day is so commercial anyway! Being single isn't so bad, anyway, amirite?

Meh, off to bed now...

This is the day, when all the other kids got cards, I got three. One from a girl, one from a boy who's mum did his cards for him, and one from the teacher which roughly translated "Do your homework." I've learned to ignore this day and let it pass under the bridge like a dead fish.

Edit: Oh yes, there was that one time I got four cards. My mum accidently put one in my name in my own stack of mother written valentine cards.

Well I have maintained my tradition of being single on this day and spent it with people walking through the office with all valentines day... stuff...

I wanted to pop their balloons. That or jump some of the people around there

Bah. I always hated Valentine's day. Especially at school, where everyone would get cards but me

I always thought Valentine's Day was cool, and I was single for most of 'em.

I prefer being single. Helps that I'm lactose intolerant and allergic to flowers though ^^

All through college, my friends and I would hang out together wearing all black as a protest. The person wearing the most black would win something, so we did our best to overdo it.

Having been happily married for more than 10 years, my wife and I are now wearing red instead of black. We're not doing gifts or cards, though. We're past that now and focus on just remembering all the good things we've done together.

I can't really think of having done anything for Valentines after elementary school, but I'll just take advantage of today to eat les chocolats and read those funny love stories they publish in the newspapers

I'm single, and I think Valentine's is awesome. Why? Well, because I mostly work with women. I've had three full-time jobs in my life and each of them, 90% of my coworkers were women. And of those women, most of them were on diets. So, when they got chocolates, they ate two of them and gave the rest away. But, because everyone else was on a diet too... I got most of the chocolates. This year, of the five employees here, three of us are female and the other two... diets.

Besides that, the day after Valentine's every store in town will have aisles of chocolate in no-longer-appropriate heart shaped boxes. So, they'll mark them all down at least 70%.



It's all about the chocolate.
