Back to Common Grounds.

This thought just kinda randomly struck me while I was in the shower, but I've noticed that at higher levels the actual % loss upon death seems to decrease. Example, at level 62 it's feeling to be around 10-20% depending on territory location, vitae, praying, whatever. At 86 it only feels to be about 4 or 5 %. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but that's just the general idea I'm getting.

For further background, I'd be really interested to see how the exp loss is calculated, but mere mortals probably don't get to know such secrets to the universe.

Anyways, my countersuggestion to "death sickness" would be to make exp loss a straight %, so a death at lvl 99 costs the same 10-20% that a death at lvl 60 costs.
That way, lower levels remain more or less unaffected, while higher tier combatants and whoever get the stronger disincentive they seem to want. Our novices and intro-level players still get the easier, relaxed exp rules while everyone who's more settled and familiar with the game gets a harsher penalty.

Why not make it 50% to 60% like before all these silly changes!

that would be... painful for a titan

Maybe we should just flat out lose a level per death. That would be easy to recover at lower levels and add the pain of dieing to the higher levels, like everyone wants!

Uh... I think I'll have to pass on that offer.

I like it, don't ask me why, I think I actually enjoy things that make me feel bad.
