What are cudgels like for bashing? Compared to say... symbols, or staffs.

In a sort of analogical irony, bashing yourself with an actual cudgel is very similar to how you feel when bashing with a cudgel in-game.

That bad? :/
Would this be correct?
Staff > Moonburst > Symbol > Cudgel
Would this be correct?
Staff > Moonburst > Symbol > Cudgel

I recently went from being a dreamweaver faeling aquamancer to being a dreamweaver faeling hartstone, so I'll go ahead and give a bit of input on this (yes, I know, many lawlz for all, but I don't really care that much for bashing anyways).
Hit per hit, I seem to take as many hits to kill things with my cudgel as I did with my aqua staff, comparing mobs ranging in strength from rockeaters to gorgogs. And, at least for mobs like rockeaters and starsuckers, it seems to take the same number of cudgel strikes for me to kill as a high elfen moonie using moonburst (neither of us had war blessings). So if there is a damage difference in PVE, it's small enough not to actually notice on low level to mid tier mobs. Can't really say for the top tier mobs, since they utterly destroy me.
And on that note, I've noticed that I actually seem to be a little squisher than I was even as a dreamweaver mage. Not enough to make my eyes bulge out at the screen, but it does seem like I end up going through potion sips slightly faster than as a mage. This is also considering that I regularly have a bit more health going for me as well with yellow, which I didn't have as a mage.
I got OHKOed by a manifestation of the dreaming when I had full health (3820h) as a druid, and I can almost never stay in the same room as a gorgog hit per hit before I can successfully kill it - still need to hit and run even at the 82nd circle. But then, I'm probably the weakest race/archetype combination out there, so that makes enough sense I guess.
Otherwise, actual damage output on mobs is about equal with everyone else.
EDIT:
I also never used deluge for bashing as an Aqua, which I'm now hearing might have affected PVE damage, so keep in mind that this comparison doesn't take any potential boost from deluge into account.

Their big hit does a bit over 4,000 damage, so you need a bit more than 4,000 health to be able to hit-and-run them without the possibility of dying.

Oh, is that a flat rate that ignores all defences? In that case, no wonder.

It's better than staff. According to older players, it used to be the best bashing attack until bards and monks mucked it all up.
At least, that's what I've heard

Interestingly enough, however, Estarra recently posted about how Symbol was on the same level/really close to Staff for bashing.
Which may point to a certain psychological factor involved!

If that's true, then that really sucks. Staff needs a boost.

... go fight Lendren and say that again. He can damage-kill warriors by doing nothing but the damage attack. In 3 attacks.
Same sort of thing happens with his zaps, too, I guess. There's just something buggy about Lendren.

Yea i agree Warriors do need to be nerfed so everyone can damage kill then in 3 attacks.

Really, when you don't have a response, you should learn not to make up something random.

Really, you should learn not to respond to random posts? As all that does is make me post another random post.

Symbol, staff, moonburst, nightkiss, and cudgel all have exactly the same mob damage formula. The difference is in defences.

Or you should not make random posts that masquerade as serious, rather absent-minded ones. Then *everyone* wins!

Nothing buggy at all. I know his secret, and I only wish I had the same sort.
