So, there doesn't seem to be a thread explicitly for this, and I wouldn't want to derail the current thread regarding Great House bonuses.

Basically, there should be able to be at least three family founders. There is really no reason against this - it's not uncommon either to have more than one sibling. This is also exceptionally unfortunate when said third family founder is too old to be adopted, making it impossible for them to be a member of the family (and marrying in would be incestuous/not make them actually be born of the family).

Not that this would have to be easy, per se - there can be a fine, time, divine approval, whatever, and any combination of that for it to be possible, but it should be possible. The family system is already stringent enough, I think it can do without one more silly restriction.

Lots of people want this. Its one of those completely obvious things that the admins apparently don't feel like doing.

We really should have something like this. At least a way for a family tree to reflect three people as equals when it comes to the role in the city. I would be happy with even "Player A and Player B- founders" "Player C- initial member".

It has more to do with the family code being a complete nightmare more than anything else. Any changes like adding a new founder would require a complete re-write.

This would actually be very cool. A complete rewrite would be a pain but there are so many nagging annoyances with the family system anyway. And a way to make people happy without affecting game balance! Even me!
