I've already bugged this, but I wanted to confirm that it's an actual bug as well and not just me breaking Ongaku. CONFIG MAPVIEW ON is not allowing me to see the map when I move around. I can't even see the map when I L or QL, I have to use the MAP command to see it. Is this something everyone is having a problem with? I've tried turning it off and on several times, not sure what else I can do besides that, though. I'd really like to see the map (without doing MAP each time I move), because even after all this time playing Lusty, I still have no freaking clue where I'm going.
Also, I didn't find any topics on this already, but if it's been posted about, just direct me to a link about said post and delete this one. Thanks.

I think CONFIG MAPVIEW might control seeing the aetherspace map, and perhaps should be renamed or clarified now that there's in-game mapping too. But I could be hosed.

Gwylifar is spot on. That is for aetherspace only, and it's going to need its name changed to avoid confusion.

Oooh, ok. I play Aetolia a lot, and that's the syntax for Aet, so I figured that would be the syntax for all the games. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Yes, but I can't see the map when I'm moving or QL. I've come to rely on it in Aetolia because I'm directionally challenged, and since I can't see it in Lusternia, I find myself getting lost even more now than before the in-game maps came along.

That's why I keep one of the maps from the website up alongside my Mushclient window at all times. So I can 'see' where I'm going. Occasionally I still get lost cause I 'lose track' of where I am on the map, but generally, it works nicely. And now with the Map feature IG, I can usually find myself quicker by looking at the pattern on the IG map and finding the matching pattern on the OOC map.
