So I'm starting to move the bulk of my aliases from the ingame (set alias...) over to the NEXUS alias menu thingy. Setting the variable (#set blah blah) for NEXUS whenever I want to change it, say freak to spider, is getting annoying to type out. So how would I go about aliasing the command for that ("#set tar {thing}" specifically)?
And would there be a way for me to make it so if I change my target using the ingame manner (st tar blah) to also get it to change it for my NEXUS aliases?
Any tips greatly appriecated. And you all rock

Alias: tar
Command: #set tar $0
Trigger: {<}Target tar = {w}.
Command: #set tar $1
EDIT: I suggest you get used to the former though, if you use the latter there's a lag time of a fraction of a second for the trigger to fire which can make you whiff if you type too fast and try to attack before it registers. Keeps annoying me in the illithoid prison.

Create New Reflex
Variable: tar
Variable text: leave empty
Create New Alias
Alias: t
Alias text as entered: #set tar $1
Create new Keybind
Keybind: F1
Keybind command to execute: punch $tar
Command prompt: t spider
Variable 'tar' set to: spider
Keybind F1 pressed: command executed = PUNCH $tar
What you'll see:
You thrust your arm out in a quick jab at a bulbous spider.
You connect!
You have scored a WORLD-SHATTERING CRITICAL hit!
The final blow proves too much for a bulbous spider, who expires, pitifully.
You have slain a bulbous spider.
You suddenly scoop up the corpse of a bulbous spider.
The critical was just a fluke

Shiri beat me because I had to find a spider to punch
I had always assumed I was the only real Nexus user, always fun to discover a new one.

dunno if this is what you are looking for, but this is what I use, change it as you will, old stuff from nexus
setalias bash punch &t
set a keybinding to F1 bash
then, to change targets, ST T "Target"

I don't buy that it took you 4 minutes to punch a spider! That's some slo-mo arm-movin' there.
Also, Krellan and I have been Nexusing it up since before li'l Bashara was born! (probably)
Rika2008-03-28 18:53:17
I used to use Nexus! But I guess you'll all leave me out because I don't anymore.

I can finally target things like the rest of the Basin. Thank you Bashara. Bloody Nexus, all I keep it is for the compass, no cost, and editor.

Nah, I reckon it just took him 4 minutes to kill a spider with a WSC.

1) The spiders in Glomdoring hide! I had to mimic for two minutes before they came back out. Was an honest-to-Estarra crit, too
2) Pro'ly!

Pshaw, don't make me blush. Always happy to flex my coding muscles for the benefit of others
By the way: if you use a normal keyboard like I do, setup the numpad for movement. Just bind 1-4 and 6-9 to the corresponding compass directions, then 5 for in, 0 for out, - for down, and + for up. Binding CTRL or ALT + numpad also works for setting other methods of movement. For instance, my CTRL movement is sprint (which also has a time-delay echo for when it's okay to sprint again so I don't get hasty messages), and ALT is gallop for when I'm mounted. There's all kinds of crazy keybind combos you can make using ctrl, alt, the function keys, and the numeral keys. Just be sure to not bind anything to the numeral keys specifically, otherwise you'll be SOL when it comes to entering numbers to the command text.
Even now after having the numpad keybound for months I still have memory lapses and go to type out an ID number and end up moving four rooms before I remember wtf I'm doing

It has been a very long time since I have come to Lusternia but I am pretty good with Nexus scripts.
Can someone tell me if there is an import option with Lusternia as there is with Achaea?
If there is I should be able to help out with coding scripts in xml that can be imported into nexus. I have a few with Achaea such as concoctions refilling, Tarot inscribers, Rat tracking so you can tell how much gold you have made in rats. Basic antitheft, Auto sippers, and numberpad navigation as well that can all be imported directly in if nexus works the same on Lusty as it does on Achaea.
I would log in and see whats been going on but I think my char was purged some time ago.
If you want to see some of my scripts or how they work just hop over to the achaea forums and search for me or look through the tech support over there and you should be able to see some of my posts and maybe get to my site.

There's an import function on Nexus, IRE-wide, I think. Lusternia's also the most different of the four IRE worlds, so you might have to modify your scripts a bit
Unknown2008-04-12 02:27:21
Yeah I would only need trigger lines, basic commands, and the such. From there is just logic.

You'd have to do some heavy duty editing, I'd think, but it would be way better than starting from scratch. And yes, if you bring up your reflexes window in Nexus, click on the Archives button in the top right hand corner. Down at the bottom there will be two buttons

I am not saying that I am going to take an achaean system and move it over here. What I am saying is that if someone wants something specific. Like a sipper or a weevil or rat tracker, a trigger to pick up slain mobs, things like this I can help with(given a few trigger lines). If anyone wants the help. The scripts that I mentioned are just some examples to show that I do know what I am doing.
Unknown2008-07-23 23:14:35
I stopped using nexus because I was too lazy to make me own system. Lazy in general, but yeh.
