Just wondering if anyone has used it yet, and if so, how is it?

I've seen it used, but I wasn't on a ship. The Fang fought some Celestian ship and died almost immediately. Very embarassing. Celest probably cheated.

Maybe someone who was there can elaborate?

We died because it was a under artied ship with a less than full crew where only the empath had spec. vs. a artied up flagship with what I presume to be a fully trained crew. Totally legit on Celest's part, just a flaw with aethership combat balancing that puts over-empahsis on artifacts.

The Hammer and Sanguine Drake are the two most active, full combat ships out there right now. It would actually surprise me given equal conditions if any one ship took on the Hammer or Drake and beat it, with the other ship not being the Hammer or Drake.

(Sanguine Drake currently belongs to Glomdoring.)

The Aether Wyrm doesn't have quite the same mass as the Sanguine Drake, but it's by no means a weak ship. Probably the strongest ship currently in Magnagora (Certainly fares far better than the Midnight Fang).

Fleyrina just hosted a Parralax event an hour or so ago. Aetherfoal vs. Midnight Fang. We got raped. By the time I actually had my empath aliases/gags/etc. ready, and remembering to log the fight, they were finished sparring us.

I hate how expensive aether-anything is.

There's no time to get ready once inside?

It's like a duel, but you all start in the same spot.

On the first of our fights, we seemed to have a decent 'get ready' period, but on the second it started outta nowhere. No idea how it works.

The first was a dogfight the second was a spar.

Could someone post a log of a spar or fight? I'm interested in what it would look like.

I was in the one where the Hammer faught the Fang. The crew on the Fang seemed to have no idea what was going on. I think after a few more ship duel when people get some empath systems up and know what to expect we'll see longer/more fair fights. Everyone remember the first time they faught a Celestine and got aeoned right? PWNed.
