Anyone have an unbiased objective opinion on if this is worth it?

Currently my shofa are a matched set of:

Damage: 95 Precision: 96 Speed: 109

Buy Bob's shofas, plug numbers or post raw data.

In terms of a ninjakari chain (which are the stats I am familiar with) those would be 190/192/218, which is ridiculous. 216 is the max speed you can get on a two handed kata weapon, so with 2 shofas at 109 speed, you are ballin.

Damage and precision are useless, they only increase stats by like 2 damage and like 10 wounds I think per stat, speed is the only important stat. So yes, you would be a very sickening fellow if you were to add +15 to both shofa (Shofas? Shofi? :/).

Um thoros, two shofas at 109 speed, is still 109 speed. Each arm is a seperate balance. you don't use both shofa with one arm! silly.

edit: OH and Xavius, you can weapon probe items while they are still in the shop, you don't have to buy them to see the numbers

Obviously.....but using two shofa at 109 speed is like using a chain at 218. You will get the same speed. (If I am wrong, it is not the end of the world...some testing may be needed to be conducted but I am almost positive this is the case)

1) Can't weapon probe Bob's stuff
2) Doesn't matter, because you can't swing things in a store. Cheap comparison weapons are the goal here.

I believe Bob weapons are 95/95/95 or 100/100/100, will buy a shofa to see.

It is a one-handed weapon.
Damage: 95 Precision: 95 Speed: 95
A plain iron shofa has no poisons or magical effects on it.

A Bob shofa

Each shofa at 109 speed gets swung, at 109 speed. The 218 chain gets two hits in, so it suffers a double balance loss. That is why 2 109 speed shofa = 1 218 speed chain.

Bleh, 95s are useless. He already has 95s in two stats, so the only stat he can compare it to is speed.

Plan B: get someone else's knives and test.

For monks, weapon stats aren't an issue when getting runes, but us warriors have to have a 463 or less for our stat total. In the equation to determine the stat total, you take dmg/2 + prec/2.2 + speed = result. Extrapolating from this equation, it seems to me that the system considers the total speed of a pair of 1h = to the speed of a 2h, so I agree with Thoros.

From all of the kata weapons I've forged so far and seen from monk friends, the total stats of a monk 2h or a pair of 1h's will always be = 600. The only variables are where these stats are located.

In response to Greg's question: I'd have to say that the increase in your overall speed while using your shofa (sounds right to me) will be noticeable, but the investment of 1800 credits seems a little overboard. Then again, with the runes you'd definitely stand out head and shoulders over most other monks (not like you already don't). If you're rich enough to afford the 1800 in credits, then fire on all barrels, Greg.
