Subj: Important: New Conflict System
After much innovative thinking on the part of our staff, we decided to
implement the following system to improve overall game play and provide
a more realistic and intense roleplaying experience within Lusternia. We
know at first glance it appears complex but once you experience these
updates and run through the cycle a few times, we think you will find it
simple and fun.
- All Supernals, Demon Lords, Avatars will periodically require essence
upkeep to keep them powered.
- The amount needed is cumulative and will increase every Lusternian
day.
- A powered up Supernal/Demon Lord/Avatar will provide their guilds with
the appropriate powers/fae otherwise the guilds will lose the ability.
- Guilds that do not normally require the presence of the
Supernals/Demon Lords/Avatars will have their abilities change to
reflect the importance.
- Whenever a being is killed, all other beings will immediately demand
triple the essence needed out of fear of facing the same. The exception
to this is if the Supernal/Demon Lord/Avatar of the opposing org (see
below) has all of their being killed, in which case it is only doubled.
- The 7 day period where each being is invincible after being raised
will be removed to facilitate better conflict.
- Nexus conglutinate will be removed as well and the ability to place
guards there.
- Each death of a citizen at the nexus will cause a slight increase in
essence needed.
- A new NPC will be introduced that will sell unpurified essence at the
rate of 10,000 gold per essence.
- Unpurified essence can be turned into the appropriate essence via the
usual methods.
- Unpurified essence however will render a weakening in the shields
around each commune/city.
- Each essence will lower the shields for an hour and all guards will be
weakened in proportion to the number of Supernal/Demon Lord/Avatar of
your own org has died minus the number of Supernal/Demon Lord/Avatar of
the opposing org.
- The time is cumulative and can only be lowered through performing a
task.
- The task is either 1) finishing the Hand of Tzaraziko and bring it to
your nexus where the timer will be turned back by two hours, 2) your
specific org quest which will turn the timer back one hour, or 3) any of
the main village quests of the village that your org controls which will
turn the timer back 10 minutes per village quest. (We may add more
quests depending on how hard it is to adjust the timer).
- Villages revolts will be adjusted to facilitate a better shift of
power. During the first quarter of the year (Estar through Kiani), they
will revolt once every 3 days. During the second quarter (Dioni through
Avechary), they will revolt once every 5 days. During the third quarter
(Dvarsh through Klangiary), they will revolt once every 7 days. And
during the fourth quarter (Juliary through Roarkian), they will revolt
randomly between 3-7 days.
- Controlling more villages would placate the Supernals/Demon
Lords/Avatars and cause them to require less essence.
- A new NPC aethership will be roaming the aetherways and will fly from
one org to another and dock at the aetherdock.
- They will sell items that can be given to the Supernals/Demon
Lords/Avatars to double the essence required.
- Constructs will be modified to reflect this change in the system, and
have their effects tune to boost/hinder respectively as needed.
- There will be a time period where the Supernals/Demon Lords/Avatars
gather in on an unreachable aspect of the Cosmic Plane to battle it out.
- Boosting each being greatly increases their chance of survival.
- IMPORTANT: We will start with an opposing orgs as the traditional
Magnagora vs. Celest, and Glomdoring vs. Serenwilde. However, these
polarities CAN change depending on the actions of the members of each
org (which quests they do and what mobs they kill). To keep the balance,
it is impossible for one org to oppose two orgs at once.
I know this is a lot to take in, but we hope to hear from you on the

I had doubts at first, but considering some of the recent things released, I did have to ask about it.
