Is pureblade and axelord bashing inferior to bonecrushers and blademasters due to the fact that they hit less.

Onehanders only do half as much damage as two handers. Without getting too complicated, the answer is they are the same.

They aren't quite the same due to wasted criticals.

But PB/AL bashing, while not quite as nice as BM/BC bashing, is still incredibly sweet.

AL also gets to cleave through shields. Not sure if PB does as well.

Both AL/PB can cleave. At 80+ you will notice that one-handers bash faster due to high critical chance and multiple hits.

On a side note, does being a dwarf, and getting the AL bonus, actually help?

Never go dwarf.

Actually think two-hander bashing is just as good as one-hander bashing +90ish due to cleave.

Getting to 90 is a different story though.

Cleave is nearly double balance. Raze/attack balance from raze less than a second on a bashing weapon, hit again. Don't need cleave.

For Blademaster and Bonecrusher I'd say it's probably quicker to raze and attack again, but for Axelords and Pureblade, cleave is worth it because it combines raze and damage, even if it takes slightly long to balance. As long as you can cleave before the mob can attack again, it will continuously redo its shield, which totally takes away its offense.

I never use raze. When a mob shields, cleave = game over.
