Appears to be a typo with neji and being thrown to the ground for arms and legs....
Unknown2008-04-15 03:28:33
You saw nothing, as far as the for arms and legs thing goes, it's the general message for kata throw, and I commented that it should probably say 'you broke x limb' on a newline or something.

...huh? Do you mean nekai?

Also, scorpionfury looks broken, should be saying "your" instead of "shuyin's". You should typo that IG.
Malarious2008-04-15 04:28:16
gash cheek, puncture lung, remove eye, sever phrenic, tendon, slit throat, collapsed, lung, ruptured gut, and mangles... wtf. We gave them slitlock (far easier than windpipe lock), a crapload of regen cures, and a crapload of other evil nasty things? 4s regen cure + 3s monks = bad :/

How long for the nerf stick? tongue.gif

And thanks Shu!

Couple of concerned criticisms:

1) Are these attacks all one-handed as they appear to be? If so, Kaife and Oothai appear to be the same as the Ninjakari rupture attacks except twice as powerful because they can be done with both hands. If the scorpionfury kill is based on ruptures like the Ninjakari kill, you can see why this would be a problem.

2) Even for monk attacks, these descriptions seem rather poor. How do I know you're using the Spronghai style just by being pounded with it? In fact, it almost appears as if some of these were adapted straight from the test server version (Murphy ninshi's your left arm! Synl spronghai's your head! etc). I'm not saying that's what happened, but it's a bad thing if that's the impression someone gets. In attack descriptions, it is probably better to tell what it does rather than what it is.

Now I feel like one of the bitter, jaded forum lurkers who can't appreciate Lusternia anymore. sad.gif

Kaife must be the first attack in the form since it requires both arms on balance to work. So no double-rupture or double-affliction.

Oothai will be changed.
Unknown2008-04-19 00:55:57
Yeah the affliction messages aren't quite as interesting compared to other monks. Maybe the Emofist can work something up some time when all is settled.

couple of questions,

1. so, one eye goes out first then the other? two attacks to get blindness?
2. What is the cure for a lost eye, regeneration? Two regeneration for two eyes?
3. However, blind if both are gone.. so i just eat faeleaf and i can see again? what happens to the eyes?
4. Do this attack, and others like this also cause wounds?

Nope, need to regen at least one eye to cure blindness.

Eyepeck isn't a new skill. Not knowing about it should tell you about how effective it is. tongue.gif

EDIT: Until given to a faeling with rushing. Hmm.

Even a faeling with rushing can't bypass stance/parry/rebound/shield that easily. tongue.gif

Ootangk in Nekotai has been changed slightly. It's affect is the same as
before, but it now an affliction cured by marjoram. It can't be cured
while the ootangk grapple is being held, though.

I dont know what the affliction cured is.. can anyone verify this for me? I thought it is just a grapple.. or is the "constricted nerve" something new?

What is the diagnose line too.. help!
Unknown2008-04-22 03:00:26
Originally, Ootangk only worked as a grapple. It's not an affliction given via the grapple, and the affliction cannot be cured until the grapple's released. Someone will post the line whenever I find someone to test with.
