I'm Transcendent in Environment. I was walking around a few minutes ago and ran into this:

Why does Weathersight only cover blizzards and fog? If I can see through fog and blizzards, why can't I see through heavy rain?

Ooh! Good point! There's no reason at all why rain should be more difficult to see through than thick fog or a blizzard, even heavy rain.

Same here. I didn't even know that Environment affected your disarming ability until Xenthos told me

And seriously, unless it's this way because the Admins decided it should be for some reason, I don't see why Weathersight shouldn't allow you to see through heavy rain whenever you glance, observe, or squint. Going to talk to an Envoy in a little bit.

WeatherSight should allow you to scry all people standing in a similar weather condition.

I asked Xenthos, and he said he'd try to submit it. Here's hoping it gets approved.

If I do recall, Synl has said that you can't squint/observe/glance in blizzards or fog either. Just LOOK in the room you're in, making it easily the most pitiful trans skill in the entire game.

Despite having Weathersight, I cannot squint/glance/observe into fog/rain/snow.

I'm gonna test this out, and if it is what Synl said it is, I'm gonna raise a ruckus.

Keep in mind I get 1 slot per month now.

Don't expect it any time soon. :/ There'll be more luck trying to raise awareness of it here.

I'm in full support of changing Weathersight such that it works in rain, snow, fog, duststorms, and anything else that limits visibility of exits or adjacent rooms. We should also definitely be able to squint, glance, and observe in these same conditions.

BTW, I noticed if I put mapshow on in a blizzard, I can see exactly where I'm going. Is that a bug?

Just be happy Estarra hasn't gone the way of Imperian and make it rain cats and dogs a few times. I remember being on my bard and that happened, and I couldn't help but press the "QUIT" button.

It rained fae once. Close enough.

And it rains gorgogs occasionally.

Not to mention the eyeballs, tentacles and tongues.
