OOCly, I've pretty much have stayed with Celest through thick and thin. I created, suicided, rested and renew my current character's gameplay and pretty much perhaps I've experienced everything Celest has to offer, especially ICly, he has seen the Necromentate fall and Mag weakend, so I plan to change organizations.

However...

Serenwilde - Since Lysandus' fiancee is living there, and has thoughts on moving there as well. There is a chance I wanted to move in there, to start a new life and perhaps a new perspective to the character's view. Problem is, when I talked to some of my friends about my plans, they told me that I won't find anything good in Serenwilde, why is that? I know the same problem will be dealing with Magnagora, but the new one will be from Glomdoring since I joined Seren.

Glomdoring - I don't know much about Glomdoring yet though I'm interested in moving in there as well, but it means I will have to break the engagement and deal with Serenwilde.

Magnagora - As much as I wanted to play traitor, with the current situation Mag is in, I know that I won't find peace due to Celest's roleplay regarding traitors to the light, and I know quite a few people who would want to kill me as soon as I leave the city.

So, can I ask your opinion what should I do now?

Err...I'm not sure what problems Magnagora is presenting you with specifically, but Glomdoring is not on nearly the same level in terms of problems caused.

ICly, Lysandus is probably a target to Magnagora since he has pretty much done anything to bring them down, anything for the Light.

You'd be surprised what roleplaying can paper over. We'll see what we can work out.

You should talk to Jigan about his experiences. I think he is killed on sight for being a traitor but at the same time he seems to be having fun. There are tradeoffs to every choice.

I can't speak on any organization except Serenwilde, but I'll say this-- no org is simply going to hand you ready made RP and good experiences. The game is what you make of it. I've played in Serenwilde my entire time in the game and have built myself quite the experience. I like the feel of the place, the crazy asshatery that is on par with the "ZOMG FOR THE LIGHT" deal you sometimes hear, and the guild work. You hear people whine about Glomdoring a whole lot, but there are plenty of players who really enjoy it there. Same with Magnagora.

While you're still in New Celest, I'd say take the time to visit the Communes. As you have a treaty with both, you can (would be tad bit harder with Magnagora unless you contacted them first, perhaps). Wander around them, see how people act (for this, I advise not just standing at the Mother Tree, that's where all the snugglers who play for a month and then leave all hang out), ask about the guilds, the beliefs, etc. I think you'll get a much better impression of the places than if you just asked over the forums.

Serenwilde isn't as bad as some might say, just make sure you really want it before you move. It's like changing class/guild- doing it impulsively always ends in disaster!

Heh, I've come across people doing that once in the Serenwilde proper. I think I embarrased them so much they both quit the commune and eventually the game.
