I've returned to the Serenguard a few weeks ago and I am having difficulties in finding a way to kill with burstorgans. Any suggestions for an effective way of doing that?
Daganev2008-05-13 23:19:20
get lucky with blackout, and perhaps keep thier regeneration salve occupied on the head.

There's a reason you see burstorgan kills about as often as you see disembowel kills - they're not particularly feasible 1 v 1. You can sneak them through in a big group since some people don't have the affliction line highlighted due to its rarity, but I think you'll be hard pressed to find other useful applications.

Unfortunately, burstorgans/disembowel is pretty unviable for warriors, at the time you can reasonably get those affs to stick, you're faster off just scoring a behead/bashbrains. But what Daganev said is generally how to do it. My last burstorgans kill was on Zia, I had to windpipe/chansu/senso/prone/broken leg/stupid/frozen/aeon her to get burstorgans to stay long enough.

Yeah burstorgans has always been tough. If you can sneak it in during blackout then great.
Ideally you should be able to lock them via windpipe, and if you can keep them locked then you might be able to pull it off. Ideally though, if you can get a leg mangled and head low, use burstorgans to give them another salve regen cure while you go to town on their head for the bashbrains.

What does Murphy know about being a BC? Geeeeeeeeeeeez.......

I've been caught out, all those years of playing a BC was really an advanced MudAI project, developed by roark and estarra in association with the protugese government.

Did some testing, and apparently I can get burstorgans while they have blackout from blackeye. Of course, that would mean they do get blackout from blackeye, you have the gut to critical, and they don't have it parried, and I get lucky and I score burstorgans, which I didn't manage to get in three hits with 5000 wounds to their gut. But it's a viable method, thank you.
If I have them in a hardlock, I would rather go for Bashbrains, it's faster and you cannot cure that.

....wtf. Bustorgans/disembowel is completely viable, even without the blackout. I've been able to pull them off often since when the skills were fixed.

Protugese? Man that explains soooooo much!

From personal experience, even during blackout I have echoes that warn me if I get afflicted with something. If your opponent does use echoes in their system, then they'll know to cure it.
Murphy2008-05-15 10:48:13
Blackout will hide it, so unlkess you diagnose you wont know you have burstorgans, echoes or no echoes

Murphy's right, if you have blackout, you cannot see it, I've tested it. Good curers will also diagnose after blackout, so I guess getting a burstorgans is almost impossible if you don't have them in a hardlock. Too bad.

I'm always right
