Anyway, for those of us who are still of school age, it's about time for graduations, or at least summer vacation. So, what're your plans?
I'm in the class of '09, gotta wait til next year to graduate, so this summer I guess I'll just lifeguard again. I already have a full scholarship to Emporia State, so it's really just a matter of time...

I'm not finished until the end of June, but my plans consist of getting a new job for a little bit. Going to Sault Ste Marie with my grandmother to go get used to the town, and then quit all my jobs by the last week of August and move to Sault Ste Marie.

Changing schools again. Back to pre-university (something like highschool). Also, taking IB courses. Though, before that, I have 12 weeks of nothing to do. And I am going to turn eighteen - guess I need to get some work.

School's over, but job-hunting has just begun. Summer plans include work, work, work, and more work, and then leaving in late July for my parents' house and friends. And then school starts up again late August.
Busy, busy.
Busy, busy.

Class of '08 here, just finished all my AP and IB exams (get out of it while you can Saaga ), so I'm done .
I'm planning to bulk up on college classes over the summer, maybe buy some credits or something or go out of the country, then go have some fun before everyone leaves for college.

2010, here. My vacation is going to consist of sleeping through June, having summer school in July so I can get some extra AP classes my Junior year, ending July and entering August with a week in Japan, and..thinking about getting a job is creepy right now!

Stop taunting me with your delicious northern summer.
Let's see, I finish school in... November.

Delicious northern summers? Psh, summers here are almost always wet and miserable. The one time I went to Australia for your "winter" it was warm enough to swim in the sea!
Also, part-time degrees are teh suk. My courses run right through the summer and I don't finish until October, and I have a week long residential course to attend in July.
Wooohooo, a whole week with maths geeks in hot and sweaty rooms.
But at the end of July I am going to take a break and head off to Deutschland for 2 1/2 weeks, Hamburg, Harz, Amrum/Sylt and maybe Munich too.

I want a cold, wet miserable summer. Instead I'm going to get a hot, wet miserable summer.
Shurimaru2008-05-16 13:32:06
Summers here are always hot and dry. When it does rain, it's a tornado/thunderstorm leaving destruction in its wake.

My school always ended during the end, or middle at earliest, July.
But now I'm beyond mandatory education so I'll make fun of all you young'ins. *waves cane*
(Just so you know, I count high school as mandatory too)

Two Thousand Eight, Adenesine Triphosphate, our class is full of energy, cuz we got that ATP!
Going to probably work at a bookstore over the summer before going off to college.

Summers are terrible where I'm originally from. Hot and humid for three months. We never get a respite.
Saaga2008-05-16 19:35:17
*hums*
Penguins, polar bears - - wait, what? It is actually as warm in Finland as it is in Rome currently.
EDIT: Probably taking a summer course as well. Philosophy or ethics?

Sounds like the summers we get on Lake Ontario. I generally die outside... But I'm not around for much longer here!

I live in the southern part of Australia, so it's probably colder than you're thinking, but it's still not ALL that cold. Never gets below freezing, on the coldest of cold winter nights it usually doesn't get below 5 or so degrees Celsius - I've never seen snow. Winter = rain.
Saaga2008-05-17 19:08:15
Your 5 degrees celcius equals swimming for Tytti.
...Or, it used to. I have become too comfortable with warmth and woollen pullovers.
Anyways, I am not risking my sanity with the full IB programme - seriously, no. I am just taking a few interesting courses on Theory of Knowledge, Echonomics and such. But I admire your bravery, Bael.

We've been having our bimonthly week of sunshine here in WA lately. Otherwise, no matter what time of year it is, it'll always be cloudy, windy, chilly, raining, hailing or snowing.

Graduating on Friday, last day of work on Thursday(I'm backwards, i work during the school year and quit for the summer), then I'm going to spend 2 weeks or so camping, then bulking up on college classes until August, then I'll probably do a little bit of work, then off to college at the end of August.
Yukiko2008-05-20 06:58:31
I just graduated on Friday! Whoo!! My finals were over last Wednesday, and I had two days to pack and party before I walked across the stage when they called my name. *SO* fun. Pictures coming soon!
