Thoros reckons on Achaea, a couple of years before Lusternia was made, a couple of changes were made to mobs ganking you (i.e gorgogs) such that you get a 10% bonus for each mob that defended the original (i.e if you hit 4 gorgogs, you get 130% experience for at least the first). He's checking out if it works here as well and making me put up a thread for it for some reason.

Pretty sure it doesn't work the same way here.
EDIT: and here's a simple test to prove it:
2 ur'dead knights: 1700 essence, 850 essence each
1 ur'dead knight: 850 essence.

Experience and essence aren't the same. It doesn't necessarily work out like that.
Rika2008-05-22 04:56:44
I don't see why not. All other experience related bonuses work for essence.
Xavius2008-05-22 04:58:44
Oh, I'm sure that the results are correct, mostly because Achaea added the xp boost after Lusty opened. I just wouldn't use essence as a baseline for undocumented xp functions.

I'm preeeetty sure the xp change for NPC's ganking you was made in Achaea before Lusternia came out.
Though now since most things you hunt here defend each other (Ur'dead, Gorgogs, Merians, Tosha monks, etc), they should put in that experience bonus since things are now harder to hunt for the younger folks.

Woah woah, so if you attack one mob and some jump to defend it... you get like extra experience per mob that defends on Achaea?
Going to Moghedu and train a few knights to Mhunna.
