Alright, laugh if you want, but I'm running an older model of zMUD. 7.04, an antique of sorts (i'd guess) So here's the deal....
I'm getting tired of not being able to cure like everyone else. Manually searching about, finding what it is, then double checking to see if I can cure it or not. I need help to either make up my own little system, or, find something compatable with the client I got. At current, I have no job (job hunting is tedious, and hard to find anyone to hire you when they supposedly don't want you) so I can't buy a new client and or get a system along with it. With no income, and no ways to get these things, I'm resorted to sticking with what I got. Can anyone help me at all? I'd be eternally grateful, plus would be more active within PvP combat hands down.
Whether it's making up a system, or just giving help on how to do it, I really don't care, anything works well at this moment.
Thanks.

I wrote my first system in 7.04 I think, maybe even earlier. I'm sure there's a way to get 7.20b or whatever the latest is on the sly, but I can't remember.
Either way, you should be able to write a system just fine with it. Look at the documentation, start on basic things like getting it to scan diagnose for afflictions, simple triggers of the line-checkhebbalance-eatherb variety. Everyone starts somewhere.

Not to be a complete jerk, but you really ought to pay for the software you use or switch to software that's free. Either upgrade to 7.21 or use MUSHclient.

7.04 is free? Why the bloody hell am I using 4.62 then?
And no, I won't switch to MUSH!

No, it's not free at all, and that's my point. His version of zMUD is pirated.

I prefer the term "Cracked"....
It's not that easy for me to shell out about 30 bucks. I'm not exactly thrilled as is that I'd asked my fiancee for cash to finance my 'addiction' here >.<
Should have put the cash to cMUD or something, but I wanted surge already!

Put the cash towards CMud, you are just losing money in ZMud.
edit- Murph I can't find that old ZMud system of yours anymore, you have my addy. Mail it to me again!! I loved the fighter pilot layout and was trying to explain it to someone the other day. I remember it having so many gui's that the main screen was pretty narrow!! I miss seeing it sometimes

You could also ask someone who now uses CMUD for one of their three registrations code. I think you buy one copy of zmud, you're allowed having it on three computers.

Cracked means pirated. The terminology doesn't help you, in this case.

Incorrect. You buy CMUD, and you're allowed to install it on any number of computers. HOWEVER, if you use more than one copy at a time, you're violating the license agreement. Sharing license codes is also pirating software.
Buying CMUD does still get you a free zMUD license, though, so that might be the way to go for getting the most out of your payment.

Ok, 7.04 is NOT old.
I was using version 3.16 or something like until I finally bought cmud.

Making your own system is not difficult by any stretch of the imagination. It is dull, monotonous, detail-oriented, and tedious until you have it 85% done and you get to do the fun problem-solving bits. There are guides all over the forums. There is documentation in zMUD.

If this is so, I might just consider buying CMUD. If I end up not liking it, I can always go back to ZMUD, but with the 7.X version instead of 4.62

wah wah piracy is bad mmkay?
I don't pay for software generally, especially the big companies. Zugg is a pretty good bloke, and I did end up buying cmud (after years of using zmud for free). Either way, i'm saying the option is ther to upgrade your :censor:.
If I can find a copy of my old zmud system i'll provide it for free to the general public.
