Here it is, my first fight against a Telepath.
Sorry for the format, I don't usually look at logs. I spent an hour editing it, heh.
I am very interested in suggestions about my curing, my system is almost done and I would like to know if there are things I can improve. Also, some of the highlights might look a bit uninspired, but those were for attacks that I did when I first started scripting my system, I am going to go though all my triggers and fix them accordingly. Also, I didn't bother coding vestiphobia, never encountered it before, that will get fixed in the following days. I haven't yet implemented my telepathy attacks curing, that will get fixed after my core curing is bug free.
This has bothered me before, where was protection removed??
As for my tactics, I would like advice about it and poison combos. I was going for a quick kill, I tried to hinder him as much as possible keeping an eye out for when he didn't stand after my knockdown so I could score a safe head hit.
I have bolded this in the log, is using aeon viable in single combat?

EDIT: I first wanted to post the log as a quote, that's why it looks so wierd. Heh.
EDIT2: Elodres doesn't even have parry... I was a little surprised he didn't parry the finishing blow, he was up and could parry.

It's not evident from the log as you've posted it where you lost your protection, assuming you actually had it up in the first place. There should be a line about someone dissolving the field around you, and it's not there.

I'm guessing that the |1 1 1 1 1| stuff is your various curing balances? Should make that more evident with shortcut letters or something, if that's the case.

More gags for messages that are next to useless, like "The pipe is full." or "There are no poisons on that item at present." Could also make some of the echo triggers omit the original text and turn them into substitutions instead.

All those things are gagged. From the pipe is full, to the envenoming, to the ONBAL, CURED and AFF messages, even most of the using the cures messages. It's just my poor logging skills, there must be an option that if the lines are gagged they won't be logged, argh, can't find it. I also replace all the demesne effects, but this was my first spar against an Aqua and those triggers were made months ago, before I actually started fighting.
Yes, those are my balances, only temporary because I'm testing my system for bugs (I know the order of them, heh, and I don't like my prompt being longer than one line). Helped me track down some elusive bugs too.
As for me borrowing from Palisade, the only thing that I borrowed from it was the idea behind the nocure functions, which I have scripted totally different from you, but I had no use for them here, not even one of his illusions fooled me (hey, you have an earlier and buggier version of my system, take a look at it! ). Let me see... made stand checks for stun because stun illusions are very nasty, and that's about all of my curing that you can see from the log.
Aaah, got it, you mean the gagging messages for balances, afflictions and stuff? Heh, I didn't steal those from Palisade, I liked them since I was playing Achaea and using Acropolis! Experimented with different types of messages, those were the only ones that were not hard to follow.

EDIT: There is no line with getting protection stripped (I had it before the spar)! Searched for it in the log (as I said, I get both the gagged messages and what I send in return in my logs). WTF?
EDIT2: as for timer failsafes that's just common sense in case you had an affliction that prevented you from curing and didn't know about it, heh.

I didn't explicitly say you borrowed from Palisade, though I didn't think you were using Acropolis as a reference. Either way, I wrote them both, so...

How do you know your protection was stripped? I can never remember which effects it blocks from one demesne to the next.

Hehe, the idea of timer failsafes and queued affliction curing was borrowed from Acropolis, but that's about it, I couldn't make heads or tails of that system, Achaea was the first mud I ever played.
As for protection, jellies, I'm very certain it blocks that, and tsunami.

note to self: dissolve field around opponents.

I can't remember if I did it or not, which might be why you're not seeing it...

I'll post a log me sparring Saran when I catch him online, I had the same problem with not detecting the lose of Protection when sparring Barrin and Eamon

you can dissolve and staff at the same time.. what i do is, i put dissolve along with claws or soemthing like phantoms so i always dissolve.. or at least that what i used to do. i dunno if it changed now
