I scanned this section for a topic of this sort, so I apologize if it's a repeat.
I made my first Lusternian character a Taurian, and I'd really like to get an idea of what racial RP (if any) there's been for them. I doubt there'll be a whole lot, considering how rarely I actually see other people on rwho, heh. But I'd still like to develop my character a little more than just having a temper. I'm mostly thinking about their culture... tribal, or a little more refined? Would they even have any unified culture, or just be lone hunter/warriors each doing their own thing? I'm new to Lusternia, so I'm not familiar with where there are taurian denizens around. That info would be useful too.
Thanks!

Denizens: Verasavir Valley and the Snow Valley place.
I would assume them to be rather headstrong and stubborn, very resolute, not too emotion...
... then again, I'm describing a Taurus (zodiac)

You might also want to take a look at the Book of Tauro, and the brief mention of the taurians and the Stampede Massacres in the History of the Holy Celestine Empire.

Taurians are a race full with rage. They usually control it - folk in Veresavir and wherever else look quite somber, to be honest. But when they unleash it... well, just look at Tauro's book.
Culture-wise, we only have one tiny Taurian settlement to scrutinize, the ones from both valleys (they have the same origin if I recall correctly). So I will only give details on that, but obviously taurians from other places can be different. They are quite primitive, tribal, definitely a hunter race - to the point of not caring about nature much. They're not one with the surrounding, but use it as they see fit. Also, Taurians tend to be quite racist in general, considering non-Taurians inferior. Not a very pleasant race to be around to be honest. Tauro was still awesome though.

Brilliant. I knew they were pissy of course, but it's hard to create racial RP/culture based only on that. Thanks!

Sadly, this already happened. I was too amused IRL to do anything.

A good start Taurians are also vary spiritual. Their believe in t heir ancestors guiding and watching over them. To the point that they can use some of the only non-tainted necromancy that i have seen (verified by Terentia along time ago.) I also took the path and from the roleplay i had with other Taurians i've found events a little thought. I think the group is Female based.

Play the 'gentle giant' kind of character. Taurians are big, reasonably intelligent, but more of a primal race than anything.
I used to be a Taurian before I switched to Human for the exp bonus. Part of the reason is because I'm trying really hard to level up. The other part is because the Enrage 'emote' makes me feel like such a racist

My first response was: there's taurian roleplay?
But people pointed out some good things.
Good night, and good luck.

I've always assumed Taurians are matriarchal, because Tauro is depicted as a female (yes, She is!) and from the interactions I had with other Taurians. There is also a herd (clan) for Taurians, too bad their leader is dormant now. Or he stopped playing.
Krackenor2008-06-05 20:53:12
From the group in Snow Valley, I'd assume that they were protective of their young. They were willing to start a war with the Igasho in order to get the ingredients for a medicine for sick children.
EDIT: Of course, this can potentially be said for most other races as well. Take it or leave it, your choice.

Sissy
EDIT: just to rub it in, I was a level 82 human when I came back from the Aquas, and when I reincarnated as a Taurian, I was able to kill things faster and I was tankier. That means AT LEAST the same amount of xp, but more karma, more gold.

I doubt I'd be very good at a gentle giant, as most of my characters are arrogant and self-righteous (and, interestingly, racist). Seems according to most thoughts on the Taurians I've nailed it.
I'll definitely be starting a Taurian family once I've got the playtime, since I prefer those to racial clans. I'll continue to think on it, but once I learn a bit more about Lusternian history I think I'll try and come up with some Taurian mythology as well.
Thanks for your thoughts!

You got that name from CoV, didn't you

From the car, actually. (You might remember the Family Guy episode where Stewie is looking through the Pewterschmidts' candy jar and finds a key to a Volkswagen Scirocco.) :P

Have fun with that, I've been trying for ages. The only Taurian females I ever met were alts, that only played for a brief period of time. Or she's inactive and we are friends.
