Allow a guild/org leader to designate someone who could sign in their name. This would either be recorded in the relevant logs or perhaps in a politics post (though that might be too spamy).

Perhaps to avoid confusion the designated person could only sign if the main person had not logged in for 1 RL day.

This would allow guild/org leaders to go on a RL vacation, or deal with exams, or whatever they need to do without having to worry that something might need to be done in game. This would also prevent guild/org members from needing to contest just to get a vote cast.

This would obviously only mechanically affect the things that require official votes but players could use it for the more informal clan vote as well if they wished.

Thoughts?

Sort of like some kind of super-secretary? I'd like that. Allow for temporary transfer of the guild ledger and all its magic powers contained therein (aka admin powers) for x amount of time.

In fact, I more than like it. I love it.

I like. Make it one of those things which you don't need to do, but if you trust someone enough to, you can do it.

Maybe like a seal/signet that could be placed with someone temporarily while the leader's away? And make the leader able to call it back (like nature talismans) so that it can't be stolen?

Maybe have a version of the permissions system, so even if somebody did steal the item from your trusted person, they couldn't use it.
