Druids already have the ability to tell how long before an unbonded totem reverts by probing it.

So, is it not possible that the same can be extended to moonhart/ravenwood saplings? It would be amazingly useful to be able to tell how long a tree has got before it moves onto the next growth stage by probing it. Or failing that, something you can see by surveying the area? For example:

You discern that the enormous tree has x days before it grows into an elder ravenwood/moonhart.

OR

You discern that the saplings here have x days before they grow into mature ravenwood/moonharts.

etc

...please?

As far as I remember hearing, they grow on the New Moon, like clockwork. Unless this was changed?

I was under the impression that they took x amount of days, regardless of when they had been planted in accordance to the next New Moon. I maybe wrong though, planting isn't something that's had to be done for a long time and I don't know the specific growth times. I just assumed it was somewhat like totems reverting to elder trees.

There's a very basic rule to it. I believe you need 5 saplings before it's the New Moon, for it to grow on the New Moon? Or something?

5 saplings planted by a New Moon. On New Moon, they will grow to 5 Mature Ravenwoods.

Mulch to 3, wait for next New Moon. On the New Moon, if there are still 3, they will grow to Enormous Ravenwoods.

Mulch to 1, wait for next New Moon. On the New Moon, if it's still there, it will grow to an Elder Ravenwood.

Carve to a totem.

(Replace New Moon with Full Moon for Serenwilde, and Ravenwoods with Moonharts)
(Also, if any tree is cut down early, new saplings need to be planted and have to wait until they grow and catch up before the room can move along)
