I am new to Lusternia. I did not know much, but I decided it would be easy enough to pick up as I went along. For my first character, I happened to use my favorite character name. Now I am unsure as to whether or not I want to change classes. Is there a command that will destroy my character and open up the name?

SUICIDE if you haven't bought credits via OOC means.

Ah thank you. I'll wait and test the other things before I decide though. I just was hoping for a way to undo a possible mistake.

As a novice, you can switch classes and get all of your lessons back anyway. Usually suiciding and recreating like that is somewhat frowned upon.

That's why I experiment with others first. This was just one mistake in thinking I would always prefer a Shadowbeat bard.

and suiciding does not free up the name, it locks it down. My first character I changed her name, and when I made a char later i tried to use that first name I had chosen and it wouldn't work. I then tried another name, which apparently was the name of someone who suicided, and that also would not work.

It frees it up if it's a newbie character, but "established" ones get locked down ever since an old Paladin who suicided and then, immediately after, someone else made a character with the same name pretending to be him.
