In an area which is pretty much a straight line with a shrine in the middle but sanctified rooms in the end, shouldn't folk be able to defile the rooms because they're at the end?

I'm 99.99999% certain it works that way.

You can start defilement at the d's. X's are not defilable. The shrine is... the shrine.

It's odd. I tried defiling Morgfyre shrine they set at the Glade of the Sleeping Goddess by starting at the southernmost tip of the rooms and I..can't. :/

Did you go out?

Yah. I went to the very entrance to the Glade and there was no shrine there. I couldn't defile.

Who knows, then-- it's certainly been removed at this point, though.

Yeah I found that I couldn't do that either when I tried to defile Morgfyre's shrine, though I tried a room in the middle of the rooms and it worked, not sure how that all worked, but the shrine is dead now though

Shrine defiling works the same way as demesne breaking, except the room with the shrine in it has to be last.

Shrines need to be fixed. Before, you could weaken a shrine by defiling a number of the rooms, but now you can raise a shrine, sanctify two or three rooms and raise full shrine powers. That's stupid.
