Back to Common Grounds.

You know, there has been a lot of venom about the recent event, and the fact that Viravain is back, blah blah blah. I think it's undeserved, so I would like to extend a Welcome to the divine volunteers who took up the personae of Isune and Viravain.

Welcome back! female.gif

Isune, you're scary but cool. Hopefully you'll both stick around with little to no problems!

Yes, welcome back, Ladies!

Yus, congrats on being promoted, good luck with your new jobs, and I hope to see you two in game!

Okay, maybe not Viravain, because that'd mean a zap is waiting for me...
Druken2008-06-21 16:07:58
Welcome, and congratulations! smile.gif

We're eager to know how things will pan out!
Saaga2008-06-21 18:33:08
Saaga has been DYING to meet Isune her whole life, nice that we have an Isune now!
Doman2008-06-21 18:41:23
it really sucks that she flips her wig when Eventru comes up sad.gif

Which one, Isune?

PLEASE, let it be Isune. I would love to find a divine willing to help me annoy him. Lord Fain hates him, but hasn't been around much. And my antics annoy him, I think.
Kaalak2008-06-21 21:06:44
Welcome Isune, Viravain and of course Maylea!

Oh please, mention him around Isune. Watch what happens.

Fania2008-06-21 21:40:41
Welcome! Fania's right there with Saaga, loves Lady Isune and can't wait to see her in action! What is it with Lady Isune and Lord Eventru? Is it because he's always fighting with Maylea?
Amarysse2008-06-21 21:47:44
Welcome, and congratulations (to both of you). clap_1.gif The interaction I had with Isune was really delightful, and I'm looking forward to more in the future. I'm also thrilled to have Viravain back, and I think the commune will be the better for her return.
Selverad2008-06-22 02:40:28
Welcome.

Enjoy the cake.

Our cake is not a lie, Isune. It is true cake. And it is tasty.

Too bad we didn't have enough booze for you....

Yes.

Viravain, I don't know much about you besides the basic stuff you hear about, but I hope you lead Glomdoring into a new ages of ... well, whatever they want in Glomdoring.

Isune.. well, I have always wanted to learn more about you, since I have had characters here. I just hope you aren't like a Raziela sort of divine. If you have some hard edges, I will be pleasently suprised, and delighted.
Estarra2008-06-22 18:36:09
As the event has ended, I wanted to take an opportunity to address some of the criticism some people had about Viravain's return to activity. Unlike other peripheral or ancillary divine, Viravain is a huge part of Glomdoring whose story is more intricately involved with an organization than any other god. Rather than sticking our fingers in our ears and yelling, "Nyah! Nyah! Nyah!" in an attempt to pretend she doesn't exist, we would rather have resolved Viravain's state. The two options were having her come back for one final attempt to evolve and settle into Glomdoring, or to kill her off. Yes, I know some of you would have wanted the latter, but not me. Her story was interesting and deep, and the Glomdoring's development squarely rested on her trials and tribulations.

I'm actually quite optimistic to hear many players express concern that Viravain has a lot of baggage and history to overcome, and also express admiration for the courage it takes for the person behind Viravain to step into this role. I hope this signals an opportunity to not pigeonhole Viravain in prior RP but to be open for your characters IR to let Viravain evolve into whatever next stage she will embody. I think Glomdoring will be a richer place for it.

For those who wonder, I'm a little sorry to see that the event ended with Isune not being drawn to Glomdoring… I think that would have been an interesting twist indeed! But kudos to those who were involved in the event and helped Isune finally purge herself from her wyrdling ways.
