Make it so that if someone is able to attack you, you're automatically able to attack back. I don't care if they'd defended a target, they shouldn't be able to hit me without me being able to hit them in return.

I thought that was changed to try and prevent some of the declare/defend trainwrecks... if you swing back at them the way you want, you'd get suspect on the whole group.

Which also shouldn't be able to happen. Though I agree with Ixchilgal, it's absurd that someone can attack me but the Avenger won't let me attack them back. Unfortunately, the system is one trainwreck after another. You can't change one part of it without massive backlash in other parts.

More like, if you swing at anyone, you are signifying that you are willingly engaging in PK (and I do not mean force), and it should just flag you as such.

If two people are defending each other, and you declare on one, you should automatically declare on all defenders. Would that make it easier? Isn't that the point of Defend?

I don't think you're accurately remembering it. The Avenger has always been around. Pre-declare/defend, we just had a horribly buggy Avenger.

If I remember right, the more you PKed, the more you could be PKed without consequence. Same for shrine defiling, killing loyals and theft, you were open PK.

Infamy is gained by, obviously, performing acts of infamy. Defiling, killing, stealing, etc. Those that are infamous are considered open pk to others that are infamous and champions as well. Alike, those that are not infamous are not free to kill. There are multiple levels of infamy and the higher the level, the longer it takes for your infamy to go away. I think it would be nice for lusternia to have some form of this but not word for word like this. Still leaving avenger to protect those that do not wish to fight and if one of those infamous attacks one that is not infamous still giving that person status/vengeance or whatever.
