A couple of rules for people advertising custom designs.
- Actually post designs you've done. (Surprise surprise, many people don't do this.)
- Provide a couple examples to demonstrate the scope of your ability.
- If claiming you can do it all, provide examples with proof that you CAN do it all.
- State your price for designing (0 gold.)
- If owner of a private cartel, state your price for privatation of designs (15cr.)
- Provide an accurate statement of how long it'll take you to design the object. (A couple of days.)
* I'm mostly interested in how other people design. I look especially forward to these sort of threads, where people can showcase their talents, and get dissapointed when people fail to provide that essential bit of information. It's like selling a horse by showing an empty stable.

Artisan
an indigo mandolin of living vines
The body of this mandolin has been lovingly carved into a teardrop shape, its wood drinking deeply of indigo inks and
staining the instrument a deep violet. Diamonds have been ground into dust and applied sporadically to the grain of the
wood, their swirling patterns appearing as twinkling constellations. Tough vines seemingly crawl out of the wood from
unseen holes, tentacle-like limbs frozen in writhing motions. The vines wrap themselves around the contours of the mandolin,
the withering flora renewed with shards of glittering emerald. Grubs and weevils crawl out of the amplification hole in swarms
like ants rushing from a drowning colony, their dead bodies coated in an unguent slime that somehow preserves them. Their
numbers dwindle as they squirm across the floating bridge and reach the fretted neck of the mandolin, the slime slicking the
instrument like a fresh coat of lacquer. Curled into itself in death and then desiccated to a rock-hard shell, round pieces of this
centipede’s carapace provide for the mandolin’s tuners with watery inks staining them in varying shades of forest green. Silver
wires twine around these tuners and slide down the board, the shining metal streaking like flashing comets across the midnight
sky colouring of the instrument. A thin resin has been applied to these wires, while three deep gouges scar the corner of the
soundboard as though some savage beast had mauled it.

a horrific tapestry of gore and debauchery
This tapestry has been woven onto a black hemp mat with strands of black and scarlet cloth. In the center of the tapestry,
a group of various males have been piked, the grisly black weapons thrusting through their buttocks and exiting out through
the victims’ mouths. Their arms and legs have been torn off and discarded on the ground below them, while their throats have
been slit ear-to-ear. Rough hempen ropes are all that keep the mangled torsos from falling to the ground to join their limbs.
Feral wolves are tearing into the severed limbs, their black coats flecked with sprays of crimson blood. Bodies have been
piled in another section, multiple incisions and lacerations slicing their flesh and leaking organs from the newly-made orifices.
Naked fiends lean over the bodies with coy grins on their faces, their claws reaching wrist-deep in the cadavers’ slit bellies
and curving horns boasting the victims’ testis. Another scene portrays a line of naked women hanging by their wrists to the
slanting ceiling of a burned-down abode, bone showing through eviscerated flesh that seems to have been drained of all fluids.
Undead taurians, with flesh dripping off their bodies and gaping wounds oozing blood, grasp the women from behind, thick arms
clasping tightly around the torsos and bestial heads thrown back in evident pleasure. Yet another scene portrays corpses
hanging by crude hooks in a cramped meat locker, their torn bodies in various states of decay. An enormous and sinister black
silhouette standing in the corner of the room looms over one of the cadavers, a giant cleaver in each meaty fist. The only
feature visible on his face is a maniacal grin full of pointed teeth. Each of the gruesome scenes are surround by a hazy black
mist, at once separating and unifying them.
Cooking
a shortbread cookie glazed with maple fudge
Examined: This cookie has been cut into a trifoliate leaf with sharp points, and has a long, fat stem. The cookie has
been baked until it has acquired a crumbly crust and a rich golden colour, while the stem has been lightly scorched
and sprinkled with a touch of salt. The sap of a maple tree has been boiled and sugared until becoming thick as a
steaming molasses, poured unto the cookie in a zigzag motion and then cooled, allowing the resulting fudge to harden
into a dark glaze. This cookie is served on a brown cloth napkin embroidered with an orange tree.
Consume: This crumbly cookie seems to melt in your mouth as you bite upon it, its creamy sweetness pure indulgence
upon your taste buds. A buttery taste dominates the flavour of the cookie, yet the hardened fudge glaze provides a
crunchy counterbalance of saccharine earthiness.
Smell: Earthy sweetness embraces your senses, though your nose is tickled slightly by a whiff of salt.
Taste: Just one lick of this delicious cookie has you grinning with delight.

some sun-dried gila jerky on a platter
Examined : Loosely wrapped in a thin, orange cloth are the scraggly strips of wizened meat, their flesh withered
from being sun-dried. Sweet marinade has dyed the gila’s flesh with maroon stripes, contrasting starkly with the light
brown of the sun-dried meat. Liberally sprinkled atop the tangy treat are crimson-flecked weed flakes.
Consume : Gnawing on the tough, dried lizard, you can’t help but delight in the contrast between the sweet, tangy taste
of the meat and its salty exterior.
Smell : A strong scent wafts from the tangy jerky, causing your mouth to slaver.
Taste : You feel a slight buzz as the weed flakes disintegrate on your tongue, momentarily distracting you from the salty
lizard meat.
Forging
a blunt-edged buster greatsword
The length of this massive sword can easily top the tallest igasho by several feet, its short hilt seemingly tiny in comparison
to the monstrous blade. The blade of this heavy sword has been forged into a rectangular, plank-like shape, its edge forged
completely flat. Numerous marks scar the grey steel of the blade, often criss-crossing each other and scuffing the hilt.
Three round holes puncture vertically through the centre of the thick blade at its base, the shiny, raw metal within creating
a sharp contrast to that of its bleak, dull exterior. Violent glyphs have seared into the scarred metal on one side of the blade,
crimson iron filling the gaps of the script with a shade strongly reminiscent to that of fresh blood. Crafted of blackened iron,
the hilt is short and is just barely long enough to to be able to held with both hands. Iron links entwine and dangle from the
haft like strips of metallic cloth, any motion of the weapon causing the chain to clang against the sword like a death knell.
-----
a changeling's dragon armour
Creative and versatile, this plated suit of armour mimics the likeness of a dragon with uncanny detail. The armour is replete
with a platinum gorget and plated breastplate, its undercoat of chain composed of miniscule overlapping scales that clings to
every nuance of its bearer like a second skin. The crimson laminae of the breastplate gently angle up and inwards, their
placement and make reminiscent to the long, protective scales that coat a dragon's belly. These plates are hollow and
progressively lined with rims where superseding plates may slide under and be latched depending on how diminutive the
changeling is at the moment. The stored plates are loosed when a changeling's expanding girth pushes against the latches,
the released discs snapping into place when no longer met with pressure. The chain undercoat of the armour is mostly
composed of refined black iron, though bits of hematite mingle with the metal. The red ore is sparsely scattered amongst the
metallic sea of scales, their appearance as startling and welcome as bright constellations in a midnight sky. Hooks of
blackened steel have been artistically carved to appear as the natural, spiked protrusions that can sometimes grow from a
dragon's onerous hide. The armour's platinum gorget has been forged into a ring of jagged teeth, each one a curving canine
that bites deeply into the breastplate. A circular indentation in the left breast of the armour creates a groove where a changeling
may affix their cameo.
Jewelry
a turbulent serpent’s ring
This unusual ring is composed of two bands, with one seemingly floating above the other. The inside band slips easily unto the
finger and has been carved from turquoise, the opalescent gem a clear, sky blue in colour. Opal has been contrived into violent
shapes in the imitation of storm clouds and embedded onto this band, the gem’s colouring a marbled mix of dark grays and bluish
whites. Tiny beryl branches of forked lightning flicker across the cloudy band, their placement at once sudden and vagrant. The
second band has been carved into an emerald serpent with thin, emerald rods supporting the serpent above the turquoise ring.
The rods are hidden beneath the serpent’s body, creating the illusion of the serpent flying over turbulent skies. The wingless
creature has been carved with incredible detail, its scales rippling in shades from a forest to a verdant green. A barbed mane
graces the serpent’s ruff, tiny turquoise horns and spikes sprouting from it. The long snout of the serpent is set in a vicious
grimace, its nostrils wide and flared. A pair of white opals sit above the wrinkled muzzle, the glaring eyes seeming to challenge
the storm.
-----
an ornate tiara bearing the crest of House d'Murani
A thinly hammered length of black gold composes the band of this tiara, the metal gleaming darkly with an unnatural luminosity.
Embedded in the center of the tiara is a diamond-shaped plaque divided in quarters, orange amethyst matching its black gold
counterparts. Overlayed upon the plaque is a kestrel depicted with stunning detail, each of his feathers outlined with gold
filigree and its chest embedded with shards of orange amethyst. The kestrel's wings are spread wide as though in flight, his
rending talons striking at an invisible target, and wicked beak open wide in a raptor's cry. Carved along the center of the band
are twiggy nests, black diamond eggs nestled snuggly within each. Looming over the nests are the points of the tiara, intricately
carved into nesting kestrels, their head and wings tucked in tight against the yellow gold of their bellies.
Tailoring
a crimson loincloth with golden frays
This exquisite loincloth consists of a strip of gold suede and a pair of crimson silk flaps. The suede band wraps snuggly about
the waist, its ends clasping together on the rise of the hip with a golden clasp. The clasp is shaped like a curled kitten, her
head resting on her front paws and tail curled around the tiny body. The silken flaps of the loincloth have been sewn onto the
suede band, modestly covering the wearer’s nether regions, yet daringly leaving the hips and legs exposed. The narrow silken
flaps slightly widen as they near the frays, flaring off at around the wearer’s knees. The deep red of the silk of the flaps is
tinged with a purple almost as deep, while an inch of their hems ends in thin frays of luscious gold silk. Ruby, paw-shaped
beads have been strung along the frays, creating a musical chime when clacked together. Three smoothly polished firegems
have been sewn onto the front and back flaps, tiny gems constantly flickering from an inner inferno.
a crimson silk bra with a kitten clasp
This whimsical bra has been playfully, yet masterly, sewn from scraps of crimson silk. Gold wiring provide a firm support for
its half-cups, which reveal more than a modest amount of cleavage. Three tiny firegems have been sewn along the middle
of the edge of each of the cups, their flickering flame dancing in sporadic rhythm. This luscious bra clasps in the front, a
sleeping kitten standing guard over its mistress’s bounty. The kitten is the bra’s golden clasp, its paws cleverly fastening onto
gold hooks, and its tail snugly wrapped around its tiny body. Vagrant strips of crimson silk of varying length have been sewn
along the left half of the bra, the longest of them dangling at the owner’s hip, while the shortest barely peer past the first ribs.
-----
some blue silk robes with amethyst and sapphire beadwork
Bolts of deepest sapphire silk have been skillfully sewn into a sumptuous robe, the soft fabric almost dashing off the flesh in
its sleek dive to the ground. Sky blue chiffon intermingles with the sapphire silk, the materials swirling along the length of the
robe in a chaotic dance that dazzles the eye. The wide sleeves extend a few inches past the wrist, hiding the wearer’s hands
in the thick folds of the sheer silk. The sleeves have been thickly embroidered with violet swirls that extend to the elbow,
sparkling sapphire beads complementing the embroidery and forming minuscule vortexes within the tiny tempests. Amethyst
beads have been sewn along the body of the robe, the flawless gems gleaming a deep mauve. A long cowl has been sewn onto
the back of the high neck of the robe, its thick silk capable of obscuring its wearer’s face in deep shadows when drawn.
