This certainly wasn't what I was expecting, but it was quite nice in the end. Thank you to whomever played the bard, it's so nice to see fun little things like this. I rarely get to. wub.gif
QUOTE
Melodic notes accompany a bard as she wanders in from the north, strumming her mandolin.

A curious wandering bard ponders the Master Ravenwood Tree thoughtfully, looking it up and down.

A curious wandering bard says, "What might this place be?"

You say, "This is where the Master Ravenwood grows, within the Glomdoring."

You say to a curious wandering bard, "Do you like it here?"

You tilt your head curiously.

A curious wandering bard says, "It's a mighty big tree all right. But it looks a bit unhealthy."

A curious wandering bard scratches her head in confusion.

Twisted and veined with entrancing dark swirls and knotted patterns, this gargantuan tree stands above all else within the Glomdoring as though trying to devour the very sky with its sharp crown. Feathery fronds hang down menacingly from the dark branches, the shiny black leaves clacking together in the wind like bone chimes and gleaming with a deep mauve iridescence. Long and grasping roots extend outwards for quite some distance from the tree, clawing into the dark soil.

'Oh?' you exclaim quizzically at a curious wandering bard.

Valonah's mouth turns up as her face breaks into a smile.

A curious wandering bard says, "Ah, what I mean to say is, I'm not used to trees of this shape and... twistedness."

A curious wandering bard coughs softly.

You peer at a curious wandering bard unscrupulously.

A curious wandering bard exclaims, "I don't mean to offend, great lady!"

A curious wandering bard performs a graceful curtsey.

You give a trillingly melodic laugh.

You say, "You see wrongness in the Ravenwood bard?"

A curious wandering bard exclaims, "Ah. No! Not at all! It's great and big! Ah..ah.. like a dead branch against the sky!"

Valonah flashes a curious wandering bard a joyous smile.

Seer Valonah d'Illici, Priestess of the Night says to a curious wandering bard, "Beautiful isn't it!"

A curious wandering bard says, "Oh yes, yes..."

A curious wandering bard nods her head enthusiastically.

You ponder a curious wandering bard thoughtfully, looking her up and down.

A curious wandering bard says, "So, ahem.."

You tilt your head and listen intently.

Nervously looking about, A curious wandering bard says, "Maybe I might interest you in a song?"

Seer Valonah d'Illici, Priestess of the Night says to a curious wandering bard, "Please I'd love to hear it."

You smile and say, "Perhaps a song will do, please, if it will make you easier at heart then sing."

Valonah tilts her head and listens intently to a curious wandering bard.

A curious wandering bard clears her throat.

A curious wandering bard begins to tune her mandolin with unnecessary care, jangling the strings tunelessly.

A curious wandering bard straightens, then holds the instrument lightly in her hands.

A curious wandering bard plucks her mandolin lightly with nimble fingers, humming a soft tune in accord with the first lonely notes.

(Skeleton Hearth): Bael says, "Think its an event, or just something fun?"

(Skeleton Hearth): You say, "I think it's just fun really. And it certainly is!"

A curious wandering bard sings gently, "Many a night I've watched the wandering stars".

A curious wandering bard sings gently, "Dance across the darkness of the earth".

A curious wandering bard sings gently, "My heart, it beats alone, its broken scars".

(Skeleton Hearth): Bael says, "Its a pretty emo bard :S."

A curious wandering bard sings gentlys, "Cut across the mornings of my mirth."

(Skeleton Hearth): You say, "Heh, nice though."

A curious wandering bard plucks a few more notes on her mandolin and raises her voice slightly, "And when I see the blackness of the skies".

A curious wandering bard sings mournfully, "I dip my head in sorrow and I cry".

A curious wandering bard lowers her voice once more, "For she, the one I love, is gone beyond".

A curious wandering bard drops her voice to a whisper, "Gone, gone beyond, and no more..."

A curious wandering bard ceases her plucking and curtseys slowly.

Evette claps her hands together merrily.

Your mouth turns up as your face breaks into a smile.

The corners of Bael's mouth turn up as he grins mischievously.

You say, "Very lovely bard, although sad."

A curious wandering bard says, "Your tree reminded me of the song, great lady."

Valonah's mouth turns up as her face breaks into a smile.

A curious wandering bard says, "And ahem... I suppose I should be going now."

A curious wandering bard gulps nervously.

You say, "Oh, wait."

You give a midnight black rose to a curious wandering bard.

You say, "As a thank you for your song."

A curious wandering bard gives a horrified gasp.

A curious wandering bard calls out "Thank you."

A curious wandering bard performs a graceful curtsey.

Valonah curtseys respectfully before a curious wandering bard.

You doff a sinuous ornate helm cordially to a curious wandering bard.

A curious wandering bard waves and says "Goodbye!"

Bael doffs the hood of jade-collared greatrobes of scorched leather to a curious wandering bard.

Evette curtseys respectfully before a curious wandering bard.

Tatsunosuke waves and says "Goodbye!" to a curious wandering bard.

A wandering bard continues her journey to the north, her mandolin swinging jauntily from one shoulder.

We talked to her for a good half hour or more (and I was happy to see no one doing the "OMG event!" thing) at the Moonhart, but she didn't sing for us!

I think she only sung because I made her nervous, and so she wanted to make it up to us for calling our tree a dead branch. sad.gif
