So I'm looking for advice, and abit of clarifacation, on maneuvers. I've had ones that focused on bleeding, specifically removing an ear, pretty useless ones.
I'm seeking out other purebladers (or someone with advanced knowledge on maneuvers, whether involving pureblade or other spec's). Here's the ones I've had before.
Bleed Slice Laceratearm, slicebicep, opengut, and openchest
Ear Slice Sliceear, furrowbrow, and openchest
Arm Slice Laceratearm, slicebicep, crackelbow, and amputatearm
Amputate Slash Amputateleg
I need to find the best combination, or at least ideas on how to make them work for me. Advice? Assistance?
And don't tell me "Change specializations" cause to me, that's not effective advice to what I want. Besides, it's tiresome to try and get another set of creds as is, and I'm tired of changing around.

It may not be what you want, but did manuevers ever get fixed really? I recall them being pretty useless.

...Buh?
Maneuvers aren't useless, in fact, they're a lifesaver.

In the interest of discussion and maybe learning something myself, here's what I use.
******************************************************************
Name----------Action-------Wounds
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Highswing------Hack-------Slitthroat and behead
Disarm---------Slice-------Crackelbow and amputatearm
Armjab---------Strike------Severnerve
Legjab----------Strike------Legtendon and pierceleg
Lowswing------Slash-------Amputateleg and rupturestomach
Gutrip----------Strike------Opengut and rupturestomach
Armjabc-------Cleave-----Severnerve
Legjabc--------Cleave-----Legtendon and pierceleg
Gutripc--------Cleave-----Opengut and rupturestomach
Throatrip------Assault-----Slitthroat and behead
Armassault----Assault-----Amputatearm
Legassault-----Assault-----Legtendon and amputateleg
*******************************************************************************
I'm no Geb or anything even close, but these have served me well enough. Probably plenty of room for improvement.

Rainydays: Couple of things about your maneuvers you might find helpful.
- You can't assault someone and hope to get beheads. This was so that people couldn't two-shot beheads.
- As a practical matter, it doesn't make much sense to go for pierceleg on the same maneuver as legtendon as a Pureblade. Legtendon is generally more effective because it's harder to cure.
- Might want to consider putting opengut and rupturestomach on separate maneuvers. If you're going to aim to build wounds, you won't want an accidental rupturestomach tipping someone off. By the same token, if you're aiming for rupturedstomach and seeking to stick a salve cure somehow, you don't want to just land an opengut either.
EDIT: In case I'm not 100% clear, you can't hope to land a behead on an assault maneuver. They're still great for building up wounds, of course.

Huh, I'm almost certain I've gotten one in the arena with an assault without a maneuver. Good to know, thanks.

I should probably add, Rainydays: if one of your maneuvers is a SWING that targets only gut and legs, you'd probably be better off coding it as a HACK UP maneuver instead of a SLASH. Just be sure to test it out on someone you trust first, sometimes changing a swing maneuver can get dicey even when you know what you're doing.

Thanks for the advice. I did it like I did because from the wording the slash seemed to favor the legs, which is what I wanted. I was putting leg and gut wounds in the same maneuver because I've had a few spars where I got a leg off, and was able to keep swinging at that leg and taking it off again, and if it wasn't there, dumping wounds on the gut.

Personally, I like to work both legs when I'm fighting anyone but a top-tier - double legtendon is nice, and double amp is monstrous. And it if doesn't hit, suddenly you can land regular gut hits with impunity, with no risk of wasting a shot on the chest.
THEN AGAIN- they're reworking warrior combat in general, it seems, so it might be more prudent to use a different style of slashing in future.
