I was just wondering if it would be possible for guilds to have their own section of the forum. I know it'd be difficult to ensure someone is someone, but it'd be nice for each group to be able to chat and have other people come in with their ideas maybe. I'd rather not start a Geomancer thread right out in the open, but I'd be more inclined to do so on a section of the forum dedicated to it.

If guilds would like truely private forums, they can make their own, like the Paladins do, although they hardly use it anymore. But, I think this might be nice.

Also, I want to lurk on Glomdoring guilds and watch them.

Estarra vetoed this one. Besides, that's a tonne of hassle. Just do it in public.

Out of interest, besides hassle, why was it vetoed? As far as hassle, you could just make it open to everyone to post and view.

Anyway, it was vetoed partly because of the hassle and partly because (since the above line was taken for granted...) there's no good way of seperating out people who deserve to be there and people who don't. You could just make alts or something.

Anyway, failing doing it in public, you could post saying "interested Geomancers in ___ PM me" or whatever.

Mainly, the seperate forum would be to focus each guild into a certain sector so it doesn't get lost with everyone else's.

We want to keep roleplaying in the game and off the forums. I've seen games that do have forums like this (and played some as well) and inevitably they detract from the game itself. You get people being "active" in their guild who don't play the game anymore, etc. Just use your guild news!
