Just trying to figure out if eating faeleaf is supposed to outright prevent blindness via the sixthsense defense, or if it granting sixthsense and then blinding you is supposed to only be a defense against illusions and the like.
I know for a fact it currently does NOT stop blindness from happening, since getting hit with a blinding attack seems to strip sixthsense (which leaves the blindness)

Faeleaf gives you the blindness affliction as well as sixthsense, which allows you to see through blindness but offers protection against illusions. However, it is not a protection against blindness. If you are blinded again, for example by the niricol poison, you will lose your blindness AND sixthsense defence.
