If you can't afford the SNES cartridge (going at 100+ dollars on ebay), or don't like the constant loading from the PS1 version, Nintendo DS will be coming out with a new, remastered version of the game for Christmas.

Apparently this game will have the Singing Mountain (that mountain in 12kBC that was shown but never accessible), and will also have the animation cut scenes from the PS1 version.

They should have had it for the PS version. Excuse me while I go clean my SNES cartridge and start budgeting for Chrono Trigger DS.

Heh, I still have the SNES cartridge. Zelda and Illusion of Gaia have mysteriously disappeared, but I'll be picking up the DS version in any case as soon as I can manage it.

I've always been hoping for a sequel to chrono cross. T_T

It's more of Square milking its classics for more cash, but hopefully it'll revitalize the series enough so it finally gets another sequel.

With that said, Crono/Frog/Lucca was totally the best team.

The demand is there. If the people doing Chrono Resurrection had cared to actually try to get the rights to make the game we'd have an incredible 3d remake.

Illusions of Gaia was one of my favourite SNES games, you know. I still play it when I get bored.

I consider remakes of Chrono Trigger to be little more than heresy. Call me a purist!

And Magus was just rock awesome, period. Crono, Magus and Marle was the group with which Lavos fell beneath Our might many a-time, including on the most difficult stage (when fighting him via story battle, when Crono is supposed to die). Aahh yes, those were the days. The triumphs of my single digit years.

Crono/Frog/Robo. The first triple tech you can get without uber grinding in 12k bc.

You're ridiculous. That game was IMPOSSIBLE. I had to use Game Genie to beat the damn vampires. Furthermore, if you're going to say your favorite game evar, you should spell it right! It's not like there was more than one illusion of Gaia!

I donno... I don't think I worried too much about the Triple Techs because I just leveled my characters SOOO MUCH. I really adored that game. I got all of them to level ** (eventually).

I always got really upset at myself when I started a New Game + and went straight to Lavos... Without equipping the good gear!! >_<

Crono/Marle/Robo here. I was really excited about Chrono Break...actually I don't know why, not like I could have played it since they DON'T RELEASE THIS CRAP IN ENGLAND. Thank goodness for zsnes.

And Eventru...what the hell...you liked illusions of Gaia? How? Soul Blazer was kind of acceptable in its way, and Terranigma was a little fun, but I COULD NOT deal with IoG however hard I tried.

Lavos was my ho, I beat him with the new game+ alone with chrono, but my main team was Chrono, frog, lucca

Ayla/Frog/Magus for me... You don't need a tripple tech when you're regularily doing 9999 damage.
