so i just made an alt, Miroki. And he is thinking either Celest or Serenwilde, but i wants some good RPing to convince him who he should join. He cant really decide between the two but wants to feel welcome in what ever community he joins. I dont want to sound like he's so awesome you need him, cuz of course he's new but yeah want some deep RP for him, with different experiences i get with Ralanbek in Mag.
If you can help him please run into him IG.
Thanks for the help.

decided his big selling point will be religion. tried to wander into a temple of some kind in Serenwilde, but could find only shrines. Are their even Temples of any kind in the wilde?
any suggestions on how to get him started in dialog about a cities/communes religion? sort of just twiddling my thumb at each places nexus.

Probably shouldn't tell people who your alt is, people will make judgements on him/her based on who your main character is. Hell, even I've been known to do it, though I really hate that I do

Serenwilde is a commune filled with Godless bastards.
Celest has more temples.... however, com2mag, we have a cathedral dedicated to the Demon Lords, a temple to fain, 5 towers dedicated to each Demon Lord and the megalith is inside a temple dedicated to undeath and the taint.
Com2mag, we are more religious than everyone else
Rika2008-07-14 23:15:31
Serenwilde has more Gods than Magnagora.
Also, the temple inside Magnagora is to Morgfyre, not Fain.
(I need to stop thinking Magnagora is spelt Magnadora.)

I can't really say I've ever had any decent experiences... ever... really, with Celest or Serenwilde RP. Sure it's there, but not in a very everyday sense.
That's the main addiction to Glomdoring to me, is the huge depth of RP, especially with Crow and Night. Just the whole mobocratic, lunatic fascism is so preposterous that it's wonderful to participate in. Most other places just seem mundane.

I don't, in fact a few of my proteges's main's are Celest.
Some do, though. I recently outed my serenwilde alt to someone highranking in the commune, and they logged out because of it
Well, at least, it made me feel good to think they did.

well that would suck, luckily at this point in time Ralanbek hasnt done really to much to piss Celest/Wilde off that i feel would be a problem. Ideally it shouldnt since Craig , Ralanbek, and Miroki are NOT the same person. And IC Craig doesn't exist and Ral and Miroki are separate entities.

Thats why Ral is in Mag :] its fun, i love it but i wanted to see what the other communities are like. Specifically the 'good' ones.

Then teach Miroki about all the gods/goddesses Seren has, and possibly -why- their arent temples. Only thing i could think of was that since its a nature commune the gods/goddesses temple IS the forest. You know like the whole forest is a temple, out door services and all.

Sadly since, i cant seem to get anyone to RP with me on my decision...i'm feeling more and more drawn to take Miroki to Glom. *sigh* we'll see.

Charune and Lisaera do have temples, however, Charune's is in Verasavir and Lisaera's is on ethereal and a bit hidden. I don't know if Maylea has a temple though.
EDIT: Which is meaning to say that the temples aren't really in prime Serenwilde.

Who needs temples?
When you feel the living earth beneath you, in the air trace the faint echo
of ancestor spirits. When the wind gently carasses your cheek and your
heart is lifted by the living essence of the great forest, warming your very
soul and spirit. When you know that wherever you walk there is life, pure
undiluted life, free from taint and the trappings of fickle civilization. When
cold hard dead stone does not obscure the beauty of the natural world and
all the beauty is open before your eyes...
I dont think many people really understand why my character, as a Faeling
is so increadibly emotionally attached to Serenwilde. Serenwilde isnt just a
temple or a commune, it isnt just a gathering of like minded people who wield
some sort of ancient vodoo treehugger magic. Serenwilde is alive, it is vibrant
and pure, perhaps the last pure thing in the world.
And damned to hell be those who will cover it in Dead Stone.

You should tell me who all your alts are. *nod*
Selverad2008-07-15 05:22:44
The only alts that I know people are expressly aware of are from diametrically opposing organizations. Someone let slip that I was Camerick, but it was bound to happen considering how much Harbinger-related posts I was making.
I'm not aware that anyone's started treating Camerick or Selverad any differently for it, though.
As for joining somewhere, what guild were you looking to join?

Though it is sort of neat that everywhere isn't considered "religious". Actually, Conquest seems more in line with a Morgfyre attitude than religious would be anyway.

Magnagora is an Empire, but the city itself is almost a ritual center with a city built around it, if it isn't right now!

Temples sure don't have to be dead stone. Lisaera's temple is essentially a valley behind a frozen waterfall, where the three parts of the valley are natural reflections of the phases of life associated with the three paths. (I helped Brylle design them, way back when.)

sorry, who are 'we'? If you mean Glom. While looking around for Isune's manse yesterday going in and out of the separate manse's Nocht asked if Miroki was lost, and talked a little to him, being religiously centered this had a huge impact on him. A god talking to him and all the mystical stuff that went along, so he is in awe since he -saw- a gods power rather then hear about it from others. Still looking though, but now Glom is one of his serious considerations, not just one i have for him. heh.

I have no idea, i believe what ever guild he joins will perform the function of the religion Miroki picks. As long as its not warrior, since ralanbek is Ur'guard. two favorites are bard and whatever archetype nihilists are.
