My roomate has recently found an interest in Lusternia and she wants to make a character, play with me, etc.

We share a wireless connection, I'm wondering if this would be considered multiplay at all.

I'm not uber tech-savvy, so I don't know the details about how a shared IP works or if it's identical...but anyways. Help!

It is not multiplaying. You may be pounced on by admin for it, but if you explain it and can prove it somehow I think they'll let you get away with it.
Acrune2008-07-23 03:29:41
Yeah, from what I understand, its really easy to see who is multiplaying, and who has two people playing from the same IP. Should be fine.
Prisch2008-07-23 03:34:55
Great, thanks.
I assumed they would, but wanted to check to make sure I wasn't setting off any alarms.

When my sister played for a short while, I messaged the Charites and talked with them, told them her character name and sorted it out. Then I told her strictly not to bug me in-game.

It worked though. Neither of us got in trouble, everything was fine.

I don't think she'd bother playing if wasn't with me.
Especially because shes a super noob.

Of all classes she wants to play a monk which I know nothing about too.

I've played several times with people on the same IP, however they started on different ones and rarely showed up on the same. Perhaps that is the reason why we were never really bugged (I think we were once, and we explained the reasons).

Huzzah, sweet deal. Will do.
I just have to break her in to MUDing first.

She almost died to her shadow..
Doman2008-07-23 04:24:13
the shadow can't kill you i don't think.
Prisch2008-07-23 04:25:45
Yeah, she was just close to death. I lol'd.

"WHY CANT I KICK IT"
"You need balance.."
Kelysa2008-07-31 03:22:53
I always wanted to see if the shadow could kill me, but my survival instinct was too strong to find out.
Gwylifar2008-07-31 14:03:42
Nope, it only gets you to 1hp.
Unknown2008-07-31 14:04:45
I wanted to die to it once to see what would happen.. and it didn't work. *sad panda*

"YOU HAVE NOT OVERCOME YOUR FATE! AWAY WITH YOU"

Then you end up as a furrikin NPC in Estelbar, doomed to endless toil, with only the occasional perk (killing Yrael).

My husband and I share an IP when we're both at home. In the past I've always just sent a message up to the admins, or issued or something, that said "We're two different people" Generally if you're up front about the situation, they might only watch you for a few mins just to make sure, or they might take your word for it if you've been a decent player in the past. But so long as you're actually two different people, it becomes pretty obvious after watching the both of you for about five minutes. It's actually pretty easy to tell when someone's multiplaying if you catch them both on at the same time. smile.gif You'd be surprised how unique some people's typing styles can be. Almost as good as fingerprints. smile.gif

I always ISSUE myself as a heads up though your friend should also issue themselves about it if possible.
