Is Morgfyre truly gone already or is he still coming back? As dumb as it is since envoy is divine appointment a Chosen of Morgfyre and Avatar of Morgfyre would have to make our patron Fain to get a new one otherwise.

Cant we make a way for the guild to choose one in the event the Patron is MIA?

Thought this would be a better place than idiots since its a serious topic.

I think the recent Ephemeral applications is going to be a try to get a new god in Magnagora...or maybe not.

I think it's probably best if you just switch to Fain. Mainly because with Morgfyre inactive, you lose a lot more than just picking an envoy.

Like?

Only envoys are handled by divine I believe (other than things like guild requests and such which we dont usually have as far as I know).

Any truly important guild request can go through city patron, especially if the patron knows the admin in charge of the guild is inactive. I think you could probably wrangle a new envoy appointment pretty easy without changing patrons if you had to

CODE
10.2.3 CITY OF MAGNAGORA, THE ENGINE OF TRANSFORMATION

                       Warlord: Morvior
                 Divine Patron: Morgfyre, the Legion

CODE
8.2.3.4 THE CACOPHONY

Guildmaster: Linaeve (The Aois-Dana of Damnation)
Guild Administrator: Nymerya (The Conductor of the Cacophony)
Guild Champion: Malarious (The Crescendo of Transformation)
                 Divine Patron: Morgfyre, the Legion

Thats the problem sad.gif Will see if we can get estarra or something to appoint a new envoy, or let the guild pick one. Its already the 14th

This has been rejected in the past. Change the Patron. Even if you're a follower, you can pretend he told you IC he's AWOL for a while and to let Fain rule, but keep an eye out on his followers, etc. etc., or whatever.
Xavius2008-08-15 01:06:47
You won't believe how much you need a patron for until you've been without one for a long time. The head admin will even direct your requests from support to your imaginary patron. Just bite the bullet and do it.

He told the Geomancers to change.

Although envoys are often chosen after consultation with guild leaders, the administration reserves the right to pick entirely as it chooses. It is not and never will be an appointment that we allow players to make - after all, this has to be someone we can work with and (where possible) someone who will be fair, reasonable, objective and diplomatic.

Fain, can't you simply allow people to Nominate an Envoy and have the divines approve it? Kinda a half-way that makes everybody happy? Or is it already like that, and I'm just talking outta my censor.gif

Then they'd feel pressured to accept the player nomination.

Keep in mind that there was a period of a couple of months when the ur'Guard had no envoy, as their old one was dismissed and any new ones who were appointed just resigned. The guild would have kept re-appointing the ex-envoy for approval, most likely.

This way they have more control over it, which appears to be what they want.

It's me. I'm the blacklisted envoy in this post. True story.
