Despite the fact that my inability to properly apply sunblock as well as my lack of common sense (one shouldn't spend nearly six hours straight in the sun, at the beach, when one has no base-tan at all!) led to being turned into a crispy critter, I had lots of fun on my vacation!

I'm gonna be so broke as I spent way too much money on the trip (I'm prolly gonna overdraft big time ), but it was great.

Friday was spent in Gulfport, visiting my cousin and seeing her new baby.

Saturday, my sister, her fiance and I arrived in Destin and went swimming in the Gulf, but it was a really cloudy day.

Sunday it was beautiful and sunny and we packed a cooler and spent about six hours on the beach. That turned out to be a mistake due to the fact that Neal and I were very pale and we hadn't properly applied our sunblock. We were supposed to put it on at least 20 minutes prior to going out and didn't. We also didn't reapply and I, at least, had applied unevenly. Needless to say, we got burned. But it was still a hella fun day.

Monday, I was too burned to do much of anything. Alayna went parasailing. I was supposed to go with her, but couldn't do it. Neal went with her, but only to take pictures. His own burns (and fear of heights) kept him on the ground. He didn't even go on the boat. We all went and saw Tropic Thunder at the movies that night though.

Tuesday, it was time to leave and I flew home to put ice on my swollen foot.

There was a kid in my exam yesterday who looked like a lobster so I smacked him in the back really hard. Turns out it was only his face that was sun burnt so I slapped him. I wasn't sure if he was angry or in pain but it was funny!
