Any online D&D 4e games?

Picked up the 4E PHB, but so far I haven't found a local gaming group playing, so I thought I'd join an online one until I find one. Does anything know any sites where I can join a group, chat room, forum, etc?

I posted before saying that I'd be willing to DM a play by post or a online game, though there didn't seem to be much interest, if there are more people now, I'd still be up for it.

I could go with something. Haven't played since AD&D, but sure.

Always up for a game.

Hmm, if there's another one or two people, we could discuss it then, I'd prefer a play by post game, since that's less taxing on people to be around at a certain time, though it might take longer.
Myndaen2008-08-26 02:50:47
I'd LOVE to play! I've never played anything like it. Well... Except a MUD

You'd need the 4ed book, or if you go for the more less legit activities, the 4th ed pdf. Least, the ease in creating a character, feat selection, and help with the math which is quite simple in this version at least.

I'd be up for a Forum based play by post game.

If Myndaen and Dag both want to do it that gives us a party of 5, since they seem to be pretty accommodating with the Mafia games, I'm sure another massively spamy pinned thread wouldn't be too bad.

I've been thinking lately about a campaign based in the Lusternia world, though using the DnD races and such, I've got most of it worked out, so if those who want to play and have the book can just confirm what they'd like to play in the thread might help us work it out.
Daganev2008-08-26 15:21:38
I'll have to get myself a copy of the book then smile.gif
Lorick2008-08-26 18:12:13
Sure, why not.
Llandros2008-08-26 19:20:42
Just so you know, there are places on the internet where you can buy get legal pdf versions of the books.
Unknown2008-08-26 19:30:48
I'm up for play-by-email or a forum based game, and I have a (yet unused) copy of the 4e Player' s Handbook.

It's been a while...
Kalnid2008-08-26 19:34:59
If you've still got room I'd love to play! Play-by-post could work well. Hrm.
Oh, and I've got the fourth edition PHB, MM, and DMG.
Unknown2008-08-27 02:12:44
Well, I think 6 is probably the largest amount I'd want to start off with, and I think we have seven people who'd want it. I can try it with seven, one extra person wouldn't be much harder. suspicious.gif If you can get the book through online or hardcopy means, post the basic character you want to play, Race Class.

The game will be play-by-post, since I dont want people getting up at absurd hours in the day just to play an online game tongue.gif
Daganev2008-08-27 06:40:58
If there are too many people, I'm happy to just watch. Work can get in the way sometimes.
Esano2008-08-27 06:48:42
Hold the game on the forums so everyone who can't play can watch.
Unknown2008-08-27 12:16:07
I was planning to have it in the Real world like the Mafia games are, so anyone who wanted to look at how it was done could.
Lorick2008-08-27 19:47:10
Well, we doing Lusternia like you talked about, or normal dnd? Also, we using MM races in the back? Also, what level? And any house rules?
Unknown2008-08-28 08:28:53
It'll be normal 4.0 Dnd but in a Lusternian world, so the places and such will be the same as in Lusternia. suspicious.gif Other than that, the races and everything are just plain 4.0 PHB, no house rules, start at level 1. Preferably not any MM races unless you feel a dying need to be one.

If everyone who wants to play can send me a PM concerning what they want to play within the next few days so I can organize everything, that would be lovely.
