I just had a thought, and I think it would lead to an interesting discussion. How well do you RP, in the sense of playing a role for the benefit of others.
My request is simple: describe how you perceive the character of the person who posts above you. It may help to post the name of your character at the end of your post. After all, Lusternia is based around character interaction. An skilled actor is one who conveys the right message about his character to his audience, after all.
Since I'm relatively new, I doubt many people know of Madach, so you can skip him if you want. If someone would care to get the ball rolling...
This may go badly. I hope not.

I'd rather not be described, so skip me.
However, from what I have seen, you are a pretty good RPer (from the one interaction we had. *g*) and you thought it out well. I am just not sure how well beggars do in an environment like Lusty! Rogues generally end up badly, unfortunately. :/

^~~ I haven't RPed with Alianna too much, but, from the interactions there were to be had, she's a pretty good RPer!

I seem to have been misunderstood. I do not ask how good an RPer you think people are, but rather what sort of character they appear to be. How good they are as an RPer can be extrapolated from how different the perception of their character is from what they're trying to play.

I'm too stupid to understand what you mean.
Never mind...

I love Myrkr's character in a non-romantic fashion. Especially the Faeling bit, if I wasn't already a spec'd elfen I'd go faeling just for the cool RP. She just seems like such a fun person whenever I've interacted with her, which... admittedly hasn't been much.
Unknown2008-08-26 20:49:51
Now that Haran's made it clear for the idiot (myself)...
Alianna is a really fun character in her own right. Though, I admit, the extent of my interacting with her has been Myrkr curing her insanity, and getting scolded by Alianna for curing her of insanity when she's not afflicted. ("Why does everyone think I'm insane!?")
As for Haran, I haven't interacted with him too much, but he seems like the type of character that wants to be involved in the Wilde, and involved in generally. He's animated and not a stiff or monotonous type. I wonder what his story is, and hope to hear about it someday.

Serella2008-08-26 21:10:18
Serella would love to get to know Myrkr more, and feels a certain amount of affinity with her 'cause of Faeling Pride She can be bubbly and silly but is really sweet, and I'm sure there's another side to her that I haven't discovered.

I know next to nothing about Sarella, however I have heard good things, and her forum avatar is adorable.
Ryleth2008-08-26 23:51:40
From my character's perspective:
Rhaena was a big dissapointment to Ryleth, having gone from wanting to rush ahead and get involved in the Harbingers to fleeing off to Magnagora, seduced by some tainted, decadent family. He's rather bitter about the whole thing, seeing Rhaena as weak (at least mentally) for opting for the luxary and comforts of Magnagora

Karnagan2008-08-26 23:54:48
Ryleth is a respectable guy, and a strong fighter! I liked getting able to know the dude.
Unknown2008-08-26 23:56:14
Hoo r u?
Sorry, Denust is completely oblivious of Ryleth's existence. And I haven't had a Glom alt since Shayle was Queen of the Night (she was awesome, though).
EDIT: What Hazar's edit says.

Let's try to get this rolling the way it was meant to be. Let's describe how Rhaena's character comes across.
Rhaena is enthusiastic, ambitious, and articulate. She can also be grasping, overambitious, sensitive, and petty. In many ways, really, she's (from my perspective) a good portrayal of a young noblewoman. What remains to be seen is what direction she will move in as she comes out of the generic young-rp-politico-achiever mold and moves into a more unique maturity.
EDIT: CURSE YOU BRIEF-WORDED NINJAS

Denust skipped Karnagan. Tsk.
Karnagan is usually kind of quiet. He carried on with his duties and really only speaks unless when something needs to be said. He has an interesting balance of being approachable, but has this aura about him that you respect and fear a bit. He also comes across as fiercly loyal, and strict adherance to the rules wether they are Mag's, the Ur'guard's, or the Order's. He's the strong silent type but you know he's capable of really suprising you.

Huh, I'll do Veyda then.
Veyda is overly ambitious. -Overly- ambitious. He works a lot, but also comes off as rash sometimes. Towards novices, he tries to be mysterious and interesting, together with Ash he's just basically an old drinking buddy, talking about everything and able to relax as well.
EDIT: *twiddle* Veyda, we need to RP more. You kind of had me struggling for words. <.<

Saaga2008-08-27 00:11:55
I always think of Ashteru as the no1 CoolBear. Along with Nihmriel and Arel, he is the one I have had most fun in Lusternia. Ashteru is very much defined by Elostian, and so is Saaga.
Unknown2008-08-27 00:41:33
Saaga seems to be thoughtful, friendly, descreet and a good person all around. She's suprisingly non-biased for a Celestian and being in the Order with her is awesome. She is like the pennultimate Elostianite.
Moiraine2008-08-27 01:08:41
This could be a really fun thread. With apologies to Greleag, whom I don't know, I must point slightly further upward to Saaga.
Saaga's always been just a bit aloof, busy with duties and all, but when I can catch her attention, she's been the sweetest thing. It's pretty clear she likes to go that extra mile for people, and concentrates hard on exemplifying her guild's values. A+!

Sthai2008-08-27 01:13:39
Iytha, like most of the old-guard Nihilists and ex-Nihilists from back when Sthai was an Iconoclast, reminds Sthai of failure. She's somewhat proud (albeit skeptical) of Iytha's scholarly achievements, but like most of the people Sthai has ended up tutoring or sponsoring in one way or another, Iytha didn't quite work out. Other than that, Sthai is monomaniacally focused on her work - if she considers Iytha, it's probably very, very briefly.
OOCly, Iytha's scientific conclusions make me go "wtf". Iytha is a mad scientist that doesn't quite seem to fit into context.
