Wooden stairwell.
Pulsing motes of golden light float through the air, flowing from the direction of a shield shrine of Lyreth nearby. Superimposed over this location, an ethereal forest reaches up to the sky. This room is dark save for a single pedestal with a lit candle upon it. Within the flickering light shadows dance upon the polished floors and wood of the walls. A spiral stairwell leading down into the monastery is centered in the room, the light below banishing the darkness around the steps. There are 3 monk disciple in grey robes here.
You see exits leading south and down.

A monk disciple in grey robes blinks incredulously at you.

You blink incredulously at a monk disciple in grey robes.
A monk disciple in grey robes places his hands together and bows slightly, eyes closed.

A monk disciple in grey robes gives you the once-over, eyeing you suspiciously.

You look about yourself, rubbing your chin thoughtfully.

You ask a monk disciple in grey robes, "Yes?"

You look about yourself, rubbing your chin thoughtfully.

A monk disciple in grey robes says, "Er... you seem to be largely unclothed."

You blush furiously.

You look about yourself, rubbing your chin thoughtfully.

A monk disciple in grey robes exclaims, "Have you come for enlightenment? I assume this means you've given up most of your possessions!"

Your eyes sparkle with amusement.

You say to a monk disciple in grey robes, "You can call it that, aye."

A monk disciple in grey robes says, "Oh? What do you call it?"

You look about yourself, rubbing your chin thoughtfully.

You say to a monk disciple in grey robes, "Something along the lines of being wealthy."

Raising a brow, A monk disciple in grey robes says, "That seems kind of the opposite of enlightenment."

You say to a monk disciple in grey robes, "For people who are simplistic, you seem to carry large amounts of gold, see."

The corners of your mouth turn up as you grin mischievously.

A monk disciple in grey robes exclaims, "Well, we don't spend it on anything, it eventually adds up!"

You ask a monk disciple in grey robes, "Where does it come from in the first place, though, I wonder?"

A monk disciple in grey robes peers at you unscrupulously.

A monk disciple in grey robes exclaims, "There are those who come to attack us... it seems fair to loot them after!"

Comprehension flashes across your face.

You say to a monk disciple in grey robes, "Interesting, interesting. What happens if you don't get your monthly kills, though?"

You suck thoughtfully on your teeth.

Laughing gruffly, A monk disciple in grey robes exclaims, "People will unvariably try!"

Your eyes sparkle with amusement.

A monk disciple in grey robes exclaims, "But it adds up, since we don't have personal possessions!"

You suck thoughtfully on your teeth.

You say to a monk disciple in grey robes, "But you must have large stocks of robes. That's a personal possession!"

Patting you roughly on the back, A monk disciple in grey robes exclaims, "I doubt anyone comes to gawk at a bunch of naked loboshigaru monks!"

A monk disciple in grey robes says, "But come now, why not give up this quest for fortune and join us?"

You ponder for a moment and say "Hrm..."

You say to a monk disciple in grey robes, "I respect monks, aye, both the Shofangi and the Tosha, but I have much fun being a Spiritsinger."

A monk disciple in grey robes exclaims, "Eh, you can be a bard and a Tosha monk... of course, the instrument wouldn't be necessary!"

You ponder a vine-woven mahogany lyre thoughtfully, looking it up and down.

You say to a monk disciple in grey robes, "How that does happen, then? We bards rely on the powers of song, while you monks rely on... your fists, I think."

You look about yourself, rubbing your chin thoughtfully.

A monk disciple in grey robes exclaims, "This isn't a fight, my boy! This is a search for Enlightenment!"

You suck thoughtfully on your teeth.

You say to a monk disciple in grey robes, "Well, I can always call upon my ancestors for Enlightenment."

You look about yourself, rubbing your chin thoughtfully.

"Unblemished, unwavering is the face of the Argent Moon," you sing, while a vine-woven mahogany lyre plays shimmering harmonies.

"Maiden's fair face grants wonderous boons," you sing, as ancient harmonies rise from a vine-woven mahogany lyre.

The spirit of one of your ancestors, hearing your song, rises from the mists of the past to watch over you.

Dismissively, A monk disciple in grey robes exclaims, "Your own Enlightenment is better!"

You play a mournful, solemn melody on a vine-woven mahogany lyre and call forth a watchful spirit in a swirl of grey mists to stand watch over this location.

You ponder a watchful spirit thoughtfully, looking it up and down.

A monk disciple in grey robes smiles hopefully at you.

You say, "How would I benefit from this Enlightenment, though? I already have everything I want."

A monk disciple in grey robes says, "Ultimate wisdom and serenity?"

A monk disciple in grey robes says, "A very nice thing to tell the ladies?"

You suck thoughtfully on your teeth.

You say, "Aye, I -may- need a little help with them ladies..."

You suck thoughtfully on your teeth.

A monk disciple in grey robes nudges you suggestively.

A monk disciple in grey robes says, "A couple of decades here, some Enlightenment, how can the girls resist?"

Your eyes sparkle with amusement.

You exclaim, "By the time I get out I'd probably have wrinkles already!"

A monk disciple in grey robes says, "Bah, Enlightenment is good for the wrinkles."

A monk disciple in grey robes murmurs softly to himself.

You suck thoughtfully on your teeth.

You have emoted: Alacardael nudges his cheeks.

You say, "I'd miss the brooks and trees of Serenwilde, though."

You look about yourself, rubbing your chin thoughtfully.

A monk disciple in grey robes says, "Well, you can see the forest from the southern courtyard."

A monk disciple in grey robes sways back and forth.

You suck thoughtfully on your teeth.

A monk disciple in grey robes says, "I am never going to convince anyone to join us! We need flashier robes or something."

You utter a deep, rumbling laugh.

You say, "Aye, flashier robes! I find red very eye-catching."

You nod your head sagely.

A monk disciple in grey robes murmurs softly to himself.

A monk disciple in grey robes exclaims, "Well, I can tell Master Quettle I tried!"

The corners of your mouth turn up as you grin mischievously.

You laughingly say, "Aye, tried you did. Maybe you'll get a new set of robes."

A monk disciple in grey robes pats you in a friendly manner.

A monk disciple in grey robes says, "Good luck in that bard thing."

Sighing, A monk disciple in grey robes exclaims, "I hope the trees and leaves are worth missing Enlightenment!"

You smile broadly and say to a monk disciple in grey robes, "And I hope Enlightenment is worth missing the trees of the Serenwilde, as well."

A monk disciple in grey robes says, "Oh, I'll get my share of trees later, when i'm Enlightened."

A monk disciple in grey robes nods his head at a monk disciple in grey robes.

Your eyes sparkle with amusement.

A monk disciple in grey robes gives the world a smart salute.

You incline your head politely to those around you.

Ever seeking enlightenment, a monk disciple wanders out to the south.

Now I want to see a Tosha monk and a Tahtetso do that. It would be interesting tongue.gif
