Sitting here waiting for my next class to start.. Sooo. How about a thread for people to share their characters history in relationships whether they be funny, weird, or sad.
Ill start I suppose.

Alright, about a few months after the portal Seraku met another Dracnari named Kundu Kor'Lath. Who shared his knowledge of Dracnari history, so the two became good friends. Shortly after Kundu introduced Seraku to his daughter Zinnaella. The two hit it off quite well and they were both shy and had a crush on one another but didn't say anything about it. They would spend long strolls in the desert hunting here and there talking for hours on end. Just before they actually started dating Zinnaella went to sleep for about 2 years or so.. And when she woke..

Well Ill finish when people give their stories content.gif I got alot of these stories too.

Sure, why not.

Nyir and Baurai met because both were interested in combat. They would spar over, and over, and over when both were about even in their skills. Eventually, Baurai grew closer and wanted to kiss Nyir, but the rule was that he had to slay her in combat for him to be allowed a single kiss. After a bit, Nyir proposed to him in order to claim him properly, then she was adopted by Ashai and Emar, at which point she needed to propose again to Baurai. There isn't really any love between the two of them, and it is more a marriage of convenience and necessity on top of the both of them feeling possessive about the other.

Glomdoring relationships, eh? biggrin.gif

Heh, quite interesting.

Now then to continue..

During Zinnaella's slumber several things happened to seraku:
-He found his sister Draca
-Introduced Draca to Kundu
-Draca and Kundu began dating

Also, during the absense Seraku thought she would never wake up so he moved on. Two years later He met a Dracnari Nekotai named Fajra. Now Seraku actually started dating Fajra for a couple months.

Another side-bit that will come into play later is that since Kundu is dating Draca, she would eventually be Zinnaella's step-mother. Draca is also like 5 years younger than Zinn.

Anyways, unfortunately Fajra went to sleep for 7 months (still sleeping btw e_e) but said she would return. Now, here is the interesting part. 4 months after Fajra went to sleep, Zinnaella woke up to her crush being in another relationship and her father dating her crush's sister...

Heh, Ill continue after the next post

Dylara really always viewed marriage out of convience and necessity for advancing her family, so the first few were about that as well as all the engagements.
When Nimaet was formed, Synl kept hounding her to get married and eventually 'introduced' her to Exeryte, she'd met him before, and she really liked him so me, Synl and Exeryte more or less argued over an OOC medium on how that would all work out. tongue.gif

Dia is kinda funny, it started about a 100 IG years ago when she and Gregori were more or less friends and kinda got closer (effing tent jokes), it ended with Gregori saying no and so Dia slapped him and stormed off. Never talked to him for the next while while they were both active, then he went inactive and I took my break. To this day, Gregori is still afraid of Dia being angry enough to slap him. huh.gif

I never really understood marriages as something other than convenience. I met Dinoniel as he was about the only unclaimed loboshigaru in Serenwilde, and after a long time of awkward courting, he proposed and we got married (though he wasn't aware for the first 10 minutes or so that we were married.)
Somaria2008-09-11 20:06:58
Hmm. Which relationship do I even start with? blush.gif

Well, since Daedalion and Somaria are supposed to be pretty permanent:

Som and Dae met at first through Haiden- her first husband. They pretty much hated eachother up until recently. Somaria thought he was a complete censor.gif and Dae didn't like her because Celina didn't. Often, he would call her a whore and before Som knew it, as she arrived in her new home not but a few years ago, she had become to object of Daedalion and Celina's snide comments and sneers.

Away from the personal hatred, Somaria was dealing with a lot, particularly her enemy status to Fain. It was soon revealed to her that Celina was a member of the Order, as she came to lead her to Sthai to listen to the Tongue's proposal. Somaria was abused on so many levels that day. Beaten and broken, staring up at Celina, she began to plot in her usual vengeful fashion. smirk.gif

In the following months, Somaria played it safe, carefully calculating and making her way, not into Elostian's Order as she had been ordered to, but into Emar's good graces. suspicious.gif At first, it was strictly business, but it ended up being the start of a friendship Somaria's still unused to. hug.gif Somaria also enticed Iwiertas, though not in an sexual manner. She became the mother Iwiertas appeared to lack in Celina, and turned the child against her. In the end, Celina was cast from Glomdoring and that's where Somaria and Daedalion's relationship began. It was her last petty strike against Celina in a lot of ways.. At least at first. quiet.gif

We belong to several OOC clans, and in many ways, it had a part in them getting together (Though we are in no way together oocly, just to clarify). In any case, Daedalion began to warm up to Somaria, who eventually became, in his words, one of the few things he cares about. Somaria's kids began to become more numerous (I'm sure you see all the unofficials running around Glomdoring). After several failed engagements, she asked her kids who they wanted as a father. She then made her proposal to Daedalion- while he was still married. noway.gif

It's not like Somaria's never asked Daedalion to leave Celina, but it was then that she truly made her case, and after a few painful months, Daedalion agreed and divorced Celina, promptly removing the d'Murani signet ring.

In the early days of their engagement, Somaria didn't bother to hide her complete infatuation. They fought constantly (You've probably seen them killing eachother near the Ravenwood plenty of times), but in a more playful manner. It wasn't until recently that Daedalion told her he loved her, and now they're actually very happy. Daedalion's really sweet when he wants to be and through all of Somaria's drama and hopelessness, he's been supportive and helpful. They hunt together, have picnics, complete quests ( Sorry for raising Marani. happy.gif ), dance, and even sleep together. Well, Somaria sleeps. Dae kind of laughs at the fact that she has to sleep. They have a surprisingly healthy relationship, and Somaria's finally settled down. Happily ever after? wub.gif

Celina's husband left her for a prostitute (Somaria was in the Jardin, don't deny it!) so Celina kept the manse, and then her dad killed them.

Okay so it's not really romantic, but it's moderately funny.
Astraea2008-09-11 20:37:50
Astraea was a shy girl, and she was always prone to quiet behavior, very polite, very regal. She got taken off the market very early on, and has not once looked back. Astraea adores the one she's with, as they are everything Astraea is not. Strong, powerful both willfully and physically. They helped her get stronger skillwise, and they helped when she was in the midst of contention in the Shadowdancers, hell. They were the reason she ran for Queen of the Night anyway. They've gone through a lot of changes over the years, and they've had some minor ideological disagreements with some of Astraea's friends, but in general, Astraea hasn't had anything but love and adoration for them. Their father is great too.

All in all, I've been very pleased with Astraea's relationship with Mother Night.

Somaria managed whores. Didn't make her one. grin.gif
Still, I thought it was funny. Somaria's manse is bigger anyway. tongue.gif
Shaddus2008-09-11 20:58:10
Shaddus was being pressured to marry by Ixchilgal, who wanted grandkds badly. Ix's other kids were eithe inactive, or not interested in families. So, he ran into Pectus a few times, and flirted a bit. After a little while of running around and snuggling, he ended up proposing to her with a chicken platter.

Yes. But it WAS a Con platter, so that counts for something, right?

Anyway, she was inactive for most of the fiancee part. When she woke up, I asked Fain to marry us, which he did. On Nil, as a matter of fact. One of the marriage guests yawned, so she got sent to Astral.

After we got married, there weren't really any sparks. Not that I expect any, but if your wife tells you she sees you as more like a brother than a husband, you tend to worry.

Then, I ran into Kanika. We hit it off immediately, both of us being artisans, the fact that I was a lobo at the time, and she was an aslaran, and both had a thing for the other's race, I guess. We chatted, talked a bit OOC (nothing relationship wise, of course, just chatting) and pretty soon, when pectus came back after being gone for about 2 years IC, I gave her 10k and told her that if she wanted to divource me, she could. Well, she ended up going out and blowing the money, so I ended up having to pay for the whole thing AGAIN. Kanika and I dated a bit, and after a while, I asked Thoros for his permission to marry her. He pretty much told me, "If you ever make her cry, I will chop you up into small bite sized bits. "

So, I proposed, she accepted. We've been semi happy ever since. Well, except for the time someone got into the manse and stole her katana and armour, and an alt of mine's axes/armour, as well. Not sure who it was, but only a handful of people had perms, being me, my alts, Kanika, an alt of hers, and Pectus >.>

Daedalion's second wife ignored him constantly, he didn't want to leave her but eventually he got tired of it. It turns out he had to divorce her to get her to notice him, it's really quite a depressing story.

He was even generous enough to let her keep the manse that he paid 95% of with no regrets.
Kharaen2008-09-11 21:51:19
My manse is bigger than all your manses.
Daganev2008-09-11 22:00:14
Daganev got married to nayl by following her around and constantly asking "Am me wooing ye yet?"

eventually she said yes.
Aison2008-09-11 22:30:12
Talkan and Aison's marriage is only the result of convenience and necessity to continue the noble side of the La'Saet line.

It was also an OOC agreement because neither of us wanted to participate in mudsex.

We roleplay the virgin couple who have a very platonic love. Both of them are servants to the Light, not to each other, and abiding to mortal pleasures are few and far between (and is usually satisfied by eating Fionn's yummy food and drinking Arix's booze smile.gif ).

Although it was very cute with Talkan asking Faragan if he could have Aison's hand in marriage and Faragan being, "What, she's straight? Oh well, sure." And getting all dolled up for the wedding ceremony and having Malicia dote on Aison a bit.
Seraku2008-09-11 22:36:30
Alrighty now for some more of Seraku's story..

Yea, Zinnaella was a bit freaked out at all the stuff that happened while she was sleeping. Especially with Seraku. She almost went to sleep forever from all the stuff that was going on. But Seraku told her that he loved her and still had feelings for her. So Zinnaella being calmed down went about hunting with Seraku catching up on old times (and trying to win him over). Seraku was utterly torn between his first love and his current love, so he pondered for many months about this since it was the most difficult decision he has ever made. He wanted to wait for Fajra to wake so he could speak with her but she never did. Heartbroken he turned his attention and heart fully to a delighted Zinnaella and they began a beautiful relationship. A bit of an awkward realization when they found out that if Draca married Kundu, Seraku would be Zinnaella's uncle whatthe.gif Anyways it was going fine after that Until.. The next month when Seraku woke he sent a tell to Zinnaella saying hello. She responded "Eh? Do I know you?" *Dun Dun Dunnn!*

Utterly confused he then found out the shocking truth... She had reincarnated into one of the Dracnari's enemies; A lucidian. Not only that but she didnt even remember him at all.. He then entered quite the depression, his normal happy cheerfulness gone.. His sister and Kundu both tried there best to comfort him but it took about six months for him to even crack a smile.. It took another couple of months for him to even get close to normal. After his heart had scarred over he focused on hunting almost entirely. But that didnt last long and he began to long for another to share his heart with. Which he's still searching for actually.

So far Seraku has had a total of 5 people fall in love with him, honestly he has no idea why they like em so much, (and neither do I huh.gif )

So thats his story.

Edit: Oh by the way, feel free to comment on peoples character stories

Psh, I paid 150K for the fulcrux and for one of the rooms. You paid for 60-70%, maybe.

And you were inactive!

My first wife, stole my ship, with lots of stuff in it. A garden, my throne, her throne, fountain, my posh clothes inside a stasis gem'ed cabinet. I think I spent a few million or more on that ship, and she stole it. crying.gif

Synl originally started talking to Xiran because, to put it bluntly, she was a fae-gathering machine and Synl needed someone to do work for him in the Glomdoring. Eventually they started talking more, with Xiran first getting infatuated, and Synl falling through manipulation into love. It ended because both players' time on Lusternia declined/neither player wanted to leave their main character's organization - for the moment! The whole avoiding Laysus bit was quite some fun, too! >.>

Synl and Arilyon got engaged mostly because Dylara kept asking Synl to get married, but it was still rather fun for the short time they remain engaged. The relationship ended simply because the players had different IG expectations for the relationship, that's all.
