As the topic description states, does anyone else train in BJJ? I've included some links below to give a better understanding of what the art is, but it is completely unfathomable to me that everyone is not training. That may be because I am gearing up for the No-Gi Pan Ams and am thinking about jiu-jitsu often though.

Actually, the idea has passed through my mind more then once. But it looks painful, and I've never tried any martial arts before...
Arix2008-09-12 01:39:02
When do we get to see the Daevos video? When? WHEN?
Daevos2008-09-12 01:41:30
Pain is fleeting....
Seriously though, once you start training, pain is no longer a consideration.
There is one partial video of a match I had at my last tournament. I will not direct anyone to it though, since it was the only match I lost. Also it was just a poor representation of my BJJ game.

Awww come on show us.
I took taekwondo as a kid (who didnt) and won a few tournaments. I lost interest in it though. Also I dont think I have the bulk for BJJ, having more of a runners physique.

Also shame on you for TKD, otherwise known as take your dough.

I'm no bulky girl (I think?) but, I'm better with throws, trips, pressure-pointing, and defense when it comes to my martial arts.
Also, I'm going to leave out the name of my MA for the sake of not getting picked on. (And it's not TKD!)

Are love.
I love the one behind the knee. Great way to make people fall down stairs.
Not that I've ever done that before. :: Coughs. ::

Maybe some Tai Chi Chuan, but I really doubt it. I've been looking into learning some Tai Chi myself since it feels so beautiful

Still wrong.
Oh, and so as to not deviate from the original topic: While I do not do Jiujutsu, it is quite a beautiful art form, if I may so say myself.
