Hoping this is in the right section.

How does someone RP having custom weapons (mainly named weapons). I have 2 already, and want to get a few more made, even though I should probably be spending my credits on lessons ninja.gif, but I'm not sure what to tell someone, such as a novice, if they ask where its from. Telling people they came from the forger as is probably won't work if they have special properties, like screaming stag heads or glowiness, so the easiest way would be to say that they were divinely forged/influenced, except that it still bears the mark of the forger.

So, how do other people with these RP them? Family heirlooms, divine intervention, found it on the ground, secret warrior auctions?

Most of my custom items, I got someone to make them for me (or played as if I did) and then paid Trader Bob to enchant them. (E.g., my spectacles were made by my jeweler mom, then enchanted from there.) A previous character, I had planned (but never executed) a storyline that would have made them family heirlooms, had even worked them into a bardic. Too bad that never played out.

If I had thought about it, I'd probably have asked Maylea to help RP getting mine or something, I dunno. It helps that bonded instruments don't have a maker's mark.

I was once kidnapped by cannabalistic gnomes. While escaping, I ran across Gleipnir in a small box under the bed. I stole it, and now I can't get rid of it.
