Bits and pieces of the grueling process of opening the GH.

The Nave of Celestial Radiance.
Brilliant white columns stretch upwards alongside the enormous entryway, which
reaches outwards towards the radiant Archway of Eternal Light. Each column has
been smoothed and polished, the pale marble veined with gold, platinum and
silver that lends to its luster, each a tall sentinel positioned to silently
observe those who pass by with an imposing air. The walls beyond the columns are
decorated with marble friezes of angelic beings, their wings stretched up behind
them as they reach towards another of their kind. The smooth white floors of the
nave have been composed of pale white marble with soft grey wisps, stretching
onwards and onwards until they reach the dais upon which the radiant archway
rests. Standing radiant and proud upon a raised dais, the Archway of Eternal
Light dominates its surroundings. Torili is here, his face set with a look of
both sadness and determination. White robes clinging to her lithe figure, Jarana
Farain stands here, her fins rising and falling gracefully.


Topaz energy races across the late afternoon skies, rising from the east,
curving northwards around the tainted lands before diving low above the
Serenwilde Forest, descending beneath the shining walls of the city of New
Celest.

Topaz beams of light descend into the city, brushing the top of the Deep Blue
Cathedral.


Pink swirls and ribbons dance elegantly from the northern end of the Basin of
Life, languidly furling and unfurling above the Northern Mountains and the
Serenwilde Forest, before sinking into the city of New Celest.

A singular ray of pure white light streaks down from the Star of Celest, high
above the shining walls of the City of Light.

A brilliant ray of pure, white light streams down to the top of the Deep Blue
Cathedral.

A dazzling radiance of light descends upon the City of New Celest, swirling and
churning upon itself as it sinks beyond the city's walls.

A swirling whirlwind of pure light races down the city's streets, swirling
easterly as it converges above the Deep Blue Cathedral. With a singular pinpoint
it pushes downwards through the peak, and into the Cathedral.

An angelic figure of light flickers upon the edge of vision, before appearing
beside the Archway of Eternal Light. With a brief kiss to one of its many
angelic feathers, it disappears as quickly as it came.


With a dazzling brilliance the globe within the heart of the Archway of Eternal
Light flares to life, a star-like blaze burning at the heart of an infinite
pinpricks of light.

Composed of twisting and dazzling white gold that turns the light that brushes
it outwards in a brilliant display, the Archway of Eternal Light has been
decorated with radiant snow-white and golden feathers which glitter in the
luminescence of the Deep Blue Cathedral. Each feather shuffles and dances with
the occasional breath of air, lending a soft majesty to its beauty. While the
archway itself has been set into the northern wall, its contents remain obscured
by doors of dark wood of a rich brown colouring, apparently without seam or
split - the only decoration being a glass orb within its centre, the contents of
which glow and ripple with the radiant light of Celestia.
It weighs about 1473 pounds.


Carefully hand-blown from the golden sands of the Isle of Light, this glass
globe is of inordinate size, resting within the very heart of the Archway of
Eternal Light. Sparkles of light race along the inside of the otherwise
pitch-black globe, each as wild and chaotic as the next, however together they
form the image of a dazzling star high in the night sky. The globe itself seems
to half-hang inside the door, swirling in its place while glowing with a light
as beautiful and radiant as the very skies of the Holy Land. The positive
radiance of the globe seems to cast no light, yet no shadow exists upon its
surroundings.

You turn a glass globe filled with radiant starlight gently within its place,
sending sparkles of light across the face of the Archway of Eternal Light.

You push a glass globe filled with radiant starlight into the face of the
Archway of Eternal Light, sending it backwards. Though the globe itself
disappears from sight, its radiant light continues to glow.

Suddenly the wood begins to dissipate from within the Archway of Eternal Light,
revealing a starlit corridor beyond.

A glass globe filled with radiant starlight swirls in place before settling,
sparkling with celestial starlight.

The Hall of Cosmos.
A rhythmic thrumming saturates the area, drawing attention to a war shrine of
Terentia nearby. Pale alabaster statues support the domed ceiling above, their
backs to the smooth stone walls. Each statue has been carved with the likeness
of a celestial merian, their elegant, aquatic features captured in exquisite
detail, their wings variously stretched out behind them or huddled close to
their back as they use both hands to support the ceiling. The ceiling above the
Hall of Cosmos shimmers and sparkles with the night sky, an infinite pinpricks
of light sparkling and dancing in the darkness of the light of the First World.
Everything about the chamber has been likewise painted in starlight, as the row
of statues slowly move towards the southern wall, where a magnificent mural
depicts a winged merian rising up from turbid, storm-tossed seas, reaching
towards the stars above. Each of his platinum scales glitter in the starlit
chamber, reflecting the light back to add to the dim luminescence that fills the
Hall of Cosmos.
You see exits leading northeast, east, southeast, and west.

The first rays of sunlight begin to break across the ceiling above, before
quickly chasing away the dark night and dwarfing the stars, a topaz luminescence
enveloping the Hall of Cosmos.

Saint Tresalyne of the Stars. As your hand brushes across his a radiant light
envelops your vision, and a warmth wraps about your hand. A soft smile crosses
the lips of the Saint as he draws you in, everything fading out in the face of
the blinding glow. As your sight returns, you find yourself in a place of marble
and coral, a cold and pure pool before you.
The Baptistery of the Sacred Light.
Four coral stands, each holding a brazier, rest on the cardinal points of the
pool. Its depths cold and pure, a pool of clear water has been sunken into the
heart of the baptistery here.
There are no obvious exits.

Shakiniel. As your hand finally moves in to touch Elohora, the Lady of Eternal
Light, you feel the mural give way beneath your touch, the Lady's light
enveloping you completely. As your vision returns, you find yourself in the Hall
of Cosmos, the roof above you mimicking an elegant and beautiful sky.

A rhythmic thrumming saturates the area, drawing attention to a war shrine of
Terentia nearby. A sigil in the shape of a small, rectangular monolith is on the
ground.
You see exits leading northeast, east, southeast, and west.

First of all thankies Talkan for the whole idea of the Supernal Sky and Eventru for doing such a great job!
The Supernal Sky is the ceiling of our Hall of Cosmos which will serve as a meeting and dining area. The sky
is just one of the col things we now have and it changes in sync with the phases of the day by putting out an emote or ambience if you will as well as changing the actual look of the room. Here it is:




Dawn- Brilliant rays of sunlight burn warmly at the eastern edge of the ceiling as the sun slowly begins to make its ascent through the sky, a flash of cobalt light briefly illuminating the chamber before the sun's warmth takes hold.

The Hall of Cosmos.
A rhythmic thrumming saturates the area, drawing attention to a war shrine of
Terentia nearby. Pale alabaster statues support the domed ceiling above, their
backs to the smooth stone walls. Each statue has been carved with the likeness
of a celestial merian, their elegant, aquatic features captured in exquisite
detail, their wings variously stretched out behind them or huddled close to
their back as they use both hands to support the ceiling. The ceiling above the
Hall of Cosmos casts an early morning glow, the ceiling above painted with the
orange and yellow clouds of the morning sky of the First World. Everything about
the chamber has been likewise painted in warm tones, each of the statues glowing
as beautifully as the next in line until they reach a magnificent mural. A
winged merian rising up from turbid, storm-tossed seas, reaching towards the
stars above has been beautifully rendered in paint and pressed with precious
metals. Each of his platinum scales positively glow a cobalt blue, sparkling in
the light that fills the Hall of Cosmos.

Mid Morning- As the sun nears its apex in the Supernal Sky above, a warm and dazzling radiance steals into the chamber, lighting up the statues and mural while burning away any lingering shadows.

Terentia nearby. Pale alabaster statues support the domed ceiling above, their
backs to the smooth stone walls. Each statue has been carved with the likeness

their back as they use both hands to support the ceiling. The ceiling above the
Hall of Cosmos radiates with the noontime sun, a glowing orb of white and gold
in the centre of the ceiling, illuminating the entirety of the chamber in a
glorious display of light and warmth that rivals the beauty of even the golden
shores of the Isle of Light. Each statue appears to veritably glow with the same
radiant warmth, their wings, clothing and skin appearing a dazzling shade of
pale gold, nearly white. At the southern end of the chamber a magnificent mural
depicts a winged merian rising up from turbid, storm-tossed seas, reaching
towards the stars above. Each of his platinum scales glows a brilliant white,
the whole of his form and shape glowing beautifully within the warm and
all-encompassing light that burns away any shadow.

Early Afternoon- As the sun continues its travel across the ceiling, the sky itself seems to blaze with white as clouds pass beside the sun, the whole of the chamber bellowing with welcoming, white light.

Terentia nearby. Pale alabaster statues support the domed ceiling above, their
backs to the smooth stone walls. Each statue has been carved with the likeness

Hall of Cosmos blazes a brilliant shade of white, the sun having crossed into
the early afternoon, its warm and pure light beating down in a heat that does

with a fiery aura, reaching from statue to statue until they cease before a
magnificent mural depicting a winged merian rising up from turbid, storm-tossed
seas, reaching towards the stars above. The whole of the celestial merian's form
positively glows, his form nearly blinding in the dazzling luminescence cast
about the Hall of Cosmos.

Late afternoon/dusk- Pink and orange clouds begin to steal across the Supernal Sky as the sun begins to set, the light itself beginning to change to shades of pink, orange and a soft rose.

Terentia nearby. Pale alabaster statues support the domed ceiling above, their
backs to the smooth stone walls. Each statue has been carved with the likeness
of a celestial merian, their elegant, aquatic features captured in exquisite
detail, their wings variously stretched out behind them or huddled close to
their back as they use both hands to support the ceiling. The ceiling above the
Hall of Cosmos has cooled and calmed, pink and orange tufts of clouds lazily
drifting across the ceiling as they cover the now setting sun, casting a
rose-tinted light across the chamber. The whole of the Hall positively glows in
the rapturous pink light, each of the statues appearing less proud and more warm
and welcoming, a peaceful air lingering about both them and the mural which they
lead to. A winged merian rising up from turbid, storm-tossed seas, reaching
towards the stars above, the subject's scales reflect back the shades of pink
and orange of the Supernal Sky, glittering with the peaceful benevolence that
Raziela, the Loving Radiance is most known for. On the eastern side of the
ceiling the first hints of the coming night begin to manifest, yet remain pale
and partially lit by the setting sun.

Night/deep night- As the last of the dusk light fades, a cool, peaceful night sky twinkles above, an infinite number of stars winking into existence before winking back out once more.

The Hall of Cosmos.
