I had a sudden mid-shower idea, today, because of my own issues in the realm of setting up families. The idea I had was simple. Why can't families merge with other families? Say you have a small family that you don't see going anywhere. Let's call them the Smiths. The Smiths had dreams of a big family, but it just isn't working. Why can't the Does ask the Smiths to bloodbond with them, since the Does were the primary one, they proposed, the Smiths would be considering merging with them for a certain amount of time, and then after, when both families agree to it (Maybe all active founders from both sides?) the Smiths integrate into the Does, they'd just translate over with the area they are already in, in their families.
Of course, I just realized a problem in that the spouse of the founder of the Smiths would have to be integrated in such a way that it doesn't appear that they are the sibling to them, or some such. Is this just too complicated to code? It has to have been brought up before this.
Just curious.

We probably wouldn't do this. Note that families can ban together as banner houses.

I think if you have 20 members to band to another house then you don't fit the criteria of being a small going nowhere kind of family??
