So, Nexus died on me D: When I start Nexus, I get the message "You need Java to play using Nexus" despite the fact that I have Java err.gif I went to the Java website to check my configuration and it says:

Congratulations! The latest version of the JRE is installed and running correctly on your system. Your Java configuration is:
Vendor: Sun Microsystems Inc.
Version: Java 6 update 7
Operating System: Windows XP
-insert dancing Duke logo-

Nothing seems wrong with Java, so I'm baffled as to the problem and want my Nexus back. I know I could just hop on the Mushmobile, but Nexus has all my aliases and such and I'm used to it -sniffle- Anyway, I would really appreciate help with solving this.

Have you tried accessing it with a different browser?

What browser are you using? What part of the Sun website did you use to check your Java?

I'm having this same problem. I can't run Nexus with Firefox or IE, but works fine on Netscape for some reason. mellow.gif

For IE7, make sure Java add-on was not disabled.

You can check it in: Tools->Manage Add-ons->Enable or Disable Add-ons...
If "Sun Java Console" or anything else to do with Java (play with the show list) is disabled, it can cause this problem.

Very similar in FireFox. Go to Tools->Add-ons->Plugins and make sure Java is enabled.
