This was actually shorter than I thought it'd be, the random bits of conversation afterwards are longer than the sermon! It's from Arilyon's view, let me know what you think >.>

QUOTE
Valarien sucks thoughtfully on his teeth.

Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature smiles and says, "Before I begin, please note that this is in fact
a manner of Sermon, and as such, I request that you find solace in your own silence for the duration. If you feel swayed
at all by what I say, if my speech excites you and you are simply unable to contain yourself then by all means exhibit
such. All I ask, truly, is that you do not interrupt unduly."

Speaking in susurrant tones, Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature says, "This will be but the first of
Seven seperate sermons that will seek to combine the lessons of Lord Nocht, Mother Night, and the Glomdoring as a whole.
I hope you are able to take something with you from each as they come to pass."

Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature stands motionless, the hushed red embers of his eyes glowing softly
amidst the shadows as he awaits those gathered to be silent.

Speaking lightly with a smile upon his face, Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature says, "Darkest
Tidings, dear Glomdoring. It is truly magnificent that those of you here would gather for these words, let alone that
there would be so many."

Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature allows his gaze to slowly wander over those present as he
continues, crimson orbs falling upon each individual in turn.

His voice barely above a whisper, Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature says, "For those of you
unfamiliar with me, my name is Valarien. I lived within the Glomdoring many years ago, for the majority of my life in
fact, and I made the ill choice of leaving the forest's boughs. Let me be the first to tell you, children of the wood...
do not repeat my mistakes."

Crossing his hands over one another calmly in front of him, Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature says,
"I lived, or rather slept, many years in the harsh rays of the Light. My decision was mine to bear, and every day I was
reminded that such was so. However, despite the constant exposure to Father Sun's jaundiced rays, the blessing of Mother
Night boiled within my heart and never allowed me to submit to weakness, never allowed me to forget my true home."

Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature closes his eyes and inhales deeply of the surrounding air, his
chest building with the motion before he exhales in a gust of purple mist that whistles softly through the clearing.

Druidess Mikalia, of the Heart of Darkness looks quietly up at Valarien from her place near the bottom of the totem,
listening intently.

Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature murmurs, "Do not forget your home, Glomdoring. Do not forget what
you fight for, do not forget that every time you fall to a blade, or spell, or in turn strike your chittering and inept
foe down, you do so for the Forest."

Shadowbound Nyaeve, Beholden to Her Grace nevers open her eyes as she listens to Valarien sermon absorbing everything he
says.

Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature whispers, "You sacrifice all for its protection. You put your
blood, your sweat, your tears, your knowledge, your skill, every last shred of your very essence into this place!"

Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature rotates his arm before him, palm upward with fingers splayed out.
Resting within his grasp lies a small, solitary black flame that billows softly to an invisible breeze. His eyes fix
upon the shadow intently as he continues.

Sighing softly, Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature says, "But why, Glomdoring? Why is it we throw
ourselves so into such a thing? Why would we give our very lives?"

With a smile, Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature says, "The concept is simple... The Wyrden
Glomdoring, glorious Mother Night, cunning Brother Crow... beautiful Lady Viravain, fair Lord Nocht... They carry a
greater purpose altogether than we. Individually, we are weak. Small flames that billow insignificantly in the darkness,
all but invisible."

Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature hisses, "Small flames that are easily destroyed."

Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature grits his teeth and clenches his hand into a fist, snuffing the
budding flame from existence in a wisp of smoke.

Speaking in a frenzied whisper, Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature says, "And yet, brothers and
sisters, what happens when we each give our all? When we put aside everything and focus utterly on the perfection that
is this forest? When we realize that nothing, nothing at all matters but the glory of Glomdoring?"

Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature casually opens his fist, the shadowy flame held within reborn once
more. Valarien smiles as the shadowy fire grows larger, engulfing his hand in its billowing form. His arm tenses
slightly and the fire grows larger still, the mock-blaze consuming the entirety of his right side before enveloping
Valarien utterly in its atramentous depths. There is a hushed whisper before the shadows recede entirely from his form.

Arms spread outward to either side of him, Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature says, "We truly become
something greater than what we e'er believed possible. We contribute purposefully to the majesty of the whole. Our
sacrifices take physical form in our triumphs, made manifest in the glory and advancement of ourselves and the Wyrd! By
giving all, we become a single entity, we become more than faithful attendants, we become the Glomdoring Itself."

Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature hisses, "And yet..."

Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature whispers, "Woe be unto the individual who fails to see that which
is best for the whole. He or she arrogant enough to believe their own purposes greater than the forest - Those unable to
purge themselves of problems, be it their inability within a position or addiction to material items. These who fail to
sacrifice of themselves will only become a greater problem to us all in turn."

Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature says, "Indeed, Glomdoring, this is my first point of seven: The
Realizations of Sacrifice. I invite each of you to meditate upon these words. Are there any questions?"

You applaud Valarien heartily.

Nalla's mouth turns up as her face breaks into a smile.

Shadowbound Nyaeve, Beholden to Her Grace opens her eyes slowly and looks up at the night sky and sighs longingly.

Krin ponders the situation.

Myrkr congratulates Valarien with some wild clapping.

Shadowbound Myrkr, Beholden to Her Grace asks Valarien, "How do you write good sermons?"

Urazial's mouth turns up as his face breaks into a smile.

Valarien peers about himself unscrupulously.

Demuiq flashes Valarien a joyous smile.

Ninaja congratulates Valarien with some wild clapping.

Shadowbound Nyaeve, Beholden to Her Grace says, "That was an amazing sermon m'lord."

Nyaeve stretches languidly.

Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature says to Myrkr, "I thank you for the compliment. In writing
anything, the best motivation is proper inspiration."

Valarien utters a deep, rumbling laugh.

Marlucia firmly shakes Valarien's hand, looking him directly in the eye.

Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature smiles and says to Nyaeve, "Just Valarien, is fine."

Shadowbound Nyaeve, Beholden to Her Grace brushes the back of her dress off.

Penumbra Nalla says, "I agree with Nyaeve. You did an amazing job."

Cesthaurel of the Murder says, "There was a lot of good discussion today and yesterday. An excellent sermon!"

Bowing slightly towards Valarien, Talan Ysav'rai, Princess of Shadows says, "Thank you."

Shadowbound Myrkr, Beholden to Her Grace smiles and says to Valarien, "Indeed, thanks for the wonderful Sermon."

A flurry of swirling cherry blossoms falls down around you.

Nalla's mouth turns up as her face breaks into a smile.

Nyaeve's eyes widen in disbelief as she softly exclaims, "Whoa."

You say to Valarien, "Thank you for speaking to us all."

Shadowbound Nyaeve, Beholden to Her Grace says, "Cherry blossoms?"

You purse your lips pensively, gazing off into the distance as you carefully gather your thoughts.

Ninaja, Wyrden Sting says, "That takes real guts getting infront of a big crowed and talking like that you have my
respect alot more of my respect."

Lord Urazial Inseira, Song of the Wyrd says, "Yes indeed. I very much look forward to hearing more!"

You nod your head at Urazial, showing your acceptance.

Penumbra Nalla says, "I love cherry blossoms."

Valarien's mouth turns up as his face breaks into a smile.

Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature says, "Thank you all for coming, it means much to me."

Demuiq bows respectfully to Valarien.

With a flourish of his arm, Valarien bows deeply.

With a flourish of his arm, Urazial bows deeply.

Cesthaurel of the Murder says to Valarien, "It is moving to hear of such devotion to the Glomdoring."

Shadowbound Nyaeve, Beholden to Her Grace says, "I'm sure if Lord Nocht had been here he would of agreed, it was an
amazing sermon sir."

You say, "Who is to say that He was not?"

You smile softly.

The corners of Cesthaurel's mouth turn up as he grins mischievously.

Cesthaurel of the Murder says, "The Divine are everywhere They wish to be."

You smile impishly and say, "He does have a way of surprising you when you least expect it as well."

Cesthaurel of the Murder taps his heels together and executes a crisp bow from the waist.

You incline your head politely to those around you.

Valarien nods his head sagely.

Shadowbound Nyaeve, Beholden to Her Grace says, "I hope one day I get to meet Him."

Penumbra Nalla says, "Aye. You shall."

Shadowbound Nyaeve, Beholden to Her Grace says, "That would make my life absolutely perfect."

Shadow Warrior Valarien Moonbane, Guardian of Nature says to Nyaeve, "And I suspect one day you shall, little one. Lord
Nocht is always about, amongst the shadows."

You say, "All in due time, I am sure young one."

You whisper to Valarien, "It was very nicely spoken, love. I do look forward to hearing the rest."

Nalla nods her head emphatically.

Valarien's mouth turns up as his face breaks into a smile.
