Have to agree with Balizar, WotLK looked pretty much like crap, new areas, so what, new skills, boring, they're stealing all the RvR stuff from WAR, and instead of focusing on what they did good, PvE, they're trying to please everyone.

Sure Death Knight looks ok, but other than that, it's just eh.

Either way, people will play it. People have played WAR and the WOTLK beta, and they came to WOW anyway.

I abandoned WoW six months or so ago.

Fortunately, I only ever made a single character reach level 70. Glad I didn't get as sick as several other players. No regrets.

Also, they didn't fix Holy Priests to be useful in PvP. Or Rogue stunlocks. Screw that game.

I didn't say people wont play it, I'm just saying, compared to TBC it really lacks a lot, nothing is actually new besides Death Knight.

Please don't ever compare WAR and WoW, they aren't even aimed at the same crowd. Nothing will ever kill WoW unless it is World of Starcraft. Blizzard games stand alone just by virtue of being Blizzard games.

To be honest, WotLK is the single greatest watering down of any "hardcore" content WoW ever had and it's pretty demoralizing to anyone in the top 3% of players. Some blue said Sunwell was "too hard and we'll never do something of that difficulty again", which if you asked the hardcore community Sunwell was amazing.

Blizzard's content/expansion release cycle is pathetic and they have big-business attitudes towards fixing issues without major content patches. People just suck it down because it's Blizzard. Look at it from where I sit. In two weeks I will be 80 and finished with all the content they've provided with WotLK because the only raid that is shipping live is a dungeon I've already beaten the piss out of both at 60 and at 80 on test. How long until the first content patch? Three months? Who knows.

Yet, there I'll be, because it will be fun, but I also don't have some strange illusion about what's being fed to me. Soylent Green is people man.

PS: My server pretty much exploded in the patch too, usual Blizzard patch day.
