QUOTE

a dire felsteed
Black as the aphotic, oppressive pitch of the deepest caverns in the underbellies of the land, this pegasus seems to be a steed fashioned from the darkest nightmares. Inherent beauty and equine grace war with menacing features to create a monstrous horse of terrifying proportions. Long limbs stretch down to steel-shod hooves, capped in blackened metal to produce flashing sparks when they strike the ground. Yellowed eyes peer intently out from a long, grim face, while sharpened teeth gnash at the air. A heavy black coat covers the form of the beast, broken only by a crimson brand of the crescent moon on the flanks; unnaturally vivid, the brand seems to burn with a liquid sheen, glowing a dull scarlet against the glossy, ebony coat. A pair of wide, feathered wings stretch out from the steed's body, grasping the air in a graceful clutch, the angelic image broken by the sharp, barbed spines curling upwards in a stabbing display at the end of the wings.
QUOTE

a delicate hairpin of ebony and ivory
Darkest ebony and pure ivory swirl together around a thin silver rod to make this elaborately carved hairpin, created with elaborate attention to detail. Intricate whorls and loops interlock, spiraling upwards in a thin pick designed to elegantly secure tendrils of hair in a refined updo. An expert hand has shaped the materials in leaping arcs, with ebony swooping between skirls of ivory to create a delicate knotwork pattern of entwined color and form. Small, chiseled twists of the white horn curve in emulation of petite flowers, while the dark wood curls about in the shape of vines, hugging the pale blooms. The sum effect is a seamless melding of light and dark, shadow and gleams, in one
refined, exquisite piece.

As someone who's earned gold IC for writing things, my advice is: be discreet. People who want you to write for them often don't want anyone else to know you're doing it. For instance, who wants to admit someone else wrote their wedding vows? Of course that might not apply to OOC writing jobs like writing people's descriptions for them.

That, and don't expect to get a lot out of this. You need a very big reputation to be approached at all, and even then rarely, since so many people will write for nothing. (Which I'm not saying is a bad thing, mind you.)
