I just started KoL yesterday, and I'm wondering if anyone has any general advice? Stuff I should do/know about that I probably wouldn't.

You're given a certain number of adventures per day to do silly things. It's humorous and is just a grind, I think, but it keeps me entertained for 15 minutes, which is a lot more than I can say about far too many things. :C

Mine probably has too. I was a twice ascended DB. Once you get past a certain moxy you're untouchable, baby.

Best and most useful resource I've found for Kingdom of Loathing is this website. It was invaluable in solving some of the more complex tasks and quests.

I do play KoL, I tried getting more people here interested but was largely unsuccessful. I play Gazbac, who right now is a Turtle Tamer, but has at one point been everything else, somethings more than once. And Myndaen, you should check out Radio KoL, they have some entertaining DJs.

Also, who do you guys play, I sometimes send people things and meat if they need it.

What kind of things do I spend meat on at level 4/early levels?

things that give bonus elemental damage/protection, guild skills, etc. Also, try to get a gravy fairy of some kind, they increase item drops
