Okay, so Wildnodes is really a fun activity that, when given the chance, I (and probably many others) like to do. However, given that it seems to be at the exact same time on the exact same day, it seems like it's not as possible for some folks as it is for others. This brings me to my idea...

Perhaps the Admin could randomize the time that Wildnodes begins? This way the folks that would like to participate do get a chance to! Just a little thought!

In theory, it's a set time because almost everything else is a variable time, and this means we have some of both kinds of things. But yeah, I think it being a set time hasn't worked out that well.
Fain2008-11-23 20:08:26
It's not actually held at a set time, although I agree that it usually falls within a 3 to 4 hour window around 20:00 GMT. There's been plenty of variation in the past. We can always give it more.

FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIN

I mean.. erm.. Yeah, randomness would be alright, I guess. So long as it's on sunday.

Yes yes! More variation is good in time of day/day of the week both. Could be cool to have one on like Thursday than on Sunday. Just sayin'!

That's not going to happen.

If, for example, Celest wins nodes hands down and gets the full power income from it and then we hold nodes four days early, they lose out on four days income if Magnagora then wins.
Gwylifar2008-11-24 13:18:25
If it were always 8.25 days apart instead of 7 days apart, though, it would still give everyone a fair amount of power while not always happening on Sunday afternoons (adjust for your time zone) and thus only available to people free on Sundays/in the afternoons/etc.

Your logic is flawed my friend.

Joke!

Should make it either Saturday or Sunday... not always Sunday! One day isn't much of a loss!

If it were 8.25 days apart rather than 14, I guarantee that we'll forget to start it.

Uh knowing that wildnodes is always 2 weeks on sunday is the easiest way to prepare for it Lekius. Making it 'random' would be dumb, and it would then turn into village revolts with a little astral twist.

Yeah, keep this programming at its regularly scheduled time.

Oi, it's started manually? Like, by hand? You guys should get a computer, they can really help with automating those repetitive tasks! smile.gif

Lusternia is actually ran by manually by someone setting feeding punch cards through a machine.

Is Fain Turing-complete?

Only when Wildnodes is 14 days apart.

Otherwise he generates a 'cannot compute' error.
